In the Midland for a winter wedding. The perfect little authentic pub lunch spot with it's wood fires, tap ales and classic pub menu. Such a little gem!

Sumptuous affordable meals and excellent brewed beer that requires more than one visit with friends and family.

Try the gin tasting - definitely worth the while. As for the beer tasting - oh my word!! so much selection and excellent food to wash it all down with. Not too mad about the more modern beers though...we preferred the traditional ones

Lovely atmosphere, great beer and the newly renovated hotel makes this a trip of a lifetime. We went in winter and it was just so cozy.

Popped in for a look around. Sadly, one man serving behind the bar and trying to deal with customers. After a long wait, a "manager" crawled out of the confines of what I presumed was his office to help. Not impressed with the service. Pity...More
