Paying almost R$100.00 just for entry is ridiculous.
Implement activities and charge per activity. Glass walkway, rappel, panoramic elevator to go down and up the wall, restaurant, etc.
It will become a new Puco das Agulhas Negras, which charges admission without any worthwhile investment, just to support some bums who are "talking in the air".

Some things must be distinguished here:
The park is wonderful, the nature is lush, the trails well delimited, and there is no way not to feel in some kind of paradise when making the trails and enjoying the landscape. The infrastructure is minimally good, with food areas (caras, bring your water and your snack), picnics, bicycle rental, rests along the trails, clean bathrooms. The value of the entrance is problematic, however. As if the worthy value of Gramado parks (which are already exorbitant too) is not enough, parking is charged separately. Hundred and two real per person plus twenty parking is out of reality with what is offered. Remember that the canyon was already there... for free. I felt a lack of monitors on the trails and even in the "visitor support area", and staff / areas for first aid properly signaled, as well as guidance / resources if incidents occur on the trails. If someone goes by badly or gets hurt, prepare for the worst, as there is no cell phone or internet signal outside the "visitor area". Another serious problem is the access: if you come from Praia Grande the situation is less bad, the roads are under construction and tend to look very good when they are completed. However, you know exactly when you came to Rio Grande do Sul, because the roads saw a mix of stones, mud and holes that challenge the best of automotive suspension. It is impossible to walk at more than 20km/h in a deserted area, also without a cell phone or GPS signal. The road between this park and the Canyon Fortaleza suffers from the same problem, which made it impossible to visit this second park.

Another problem with the ticket is to charge the above amount claiming that it is worth "for the two parks" and for "three entries". What if I only want to go in once? Or once per park? Why not charge for a vehicle then? Why not follow the trends of most tourist attractions in the world in charging less than those who live in the states involved? I find it dishonest that there are no more entrance options, as well as parking charges, considering the extortion rates on the entrance per person.

In short, a wonderful place, but destined to close or need a drastic reform due to the out-of-reality cost and access problems, as the public authority seems to have abandoned the region. If you like adventure, appreciate the interaction with nature and don't mind paying the amount charged, come to spend the whole day, have a picnic and enjoy while it's still possible. Nature is still the greatest spectacle.

The road leading to the park is not in good condition, so you have to drive slowly, which makes the journey longer. Good for enjoying the view. The park was recently outsourced and its structure has improved, however entry is expensive (97.00) and children pay in full too. For one of the trails, visitors have the option of taking a bicycle (I recommend) which costs 25.00.
The park is beautiful and despite the price, it is worth visiting.

When you read the reviews, you see that 2,000 people found the place great, but don't be mistaken, this is all before privatizing the place. In ancient times, you went to the canyon and paid nothing, so you accepted the conditions. Now it remains practically the same without infrastructure and mainly with poor road and you pay 102,00 plus 20,00 parking. It's absurd. Even this month Tiroleza was closed due to a lack of tourists. To get an idea of the problem, the demand for tourists in the region fell 70% causing even a crisis in the nearby city.

The Itaimbezinho canyon is located within the Aparados da Serra National Park, the natural border between the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. It is approximately 5.8 km long, with rocky walls that rise to altitudes of over 700 meters and on its slopes there are incredible waterfalls such as Véu das Noivas and Andorinhas and at the bottom of the canyon the Rio do Boi. Pets are prohibited and tickets cost R$97.00 per person, but in June 2024, they were on sale for R$49.00 per person. Visits to Itaimbezinho and Rio do Boi are from 8am to 5pm (closed on Monday).

This canyon has already a visitor center, a bigger parking lot and even the option of a mountain bike rental.
It offers many amazing views from different corners. Local guides also offer the option of hiking on the bottom of the canyon in the tour of the Rio Boi.
Walking around the top of the canyon you can also stop by at a small Café, family owned, where they offer delicious pine pastry or some local art.

I was at Itambezinho/Trilha Cotovelo on 01/24/24. The road is gravel and rocky, you can go by regular car, I did it in 50 minutes, it's quiet, there are irregularities but nothing serious. You have to go slowly, just don't rush. There are 15 km of land and not 18 as they say. They are charging R$97 and I heard it goes for R$120, very expensive. The canyons are wonderful, the fog changes all the time, you have to be lucky to see them. Take an umbrella. It rains a lot. The walk to Cotovelo took me 50 minutes. Unhurried. I did the return in 36 minutes, walking at a fast pace. I recommend visiting the private farm that is after the Vertice trail. Just pass the gate and walk 10 minutes. It's a typical gaucho settler's house, with pine nut pastries, sandwiches, coffee and handicrafts. I found it interesting.

The park is beautiful and has stunning views! It is noticeable that the company that won the concession has already made several improvements and the structure of the park is now much better!

One suggestion would be to create a type of internal transport, like at Instituto Inhotim, to take visitors to the end of the longest trail!

It is absurd to charge 97.00 saying it is worth 3 entries, we managed to go one day, because the rest was cloudy and with rain, cover the individual entrance. The road to arrive is an absurd, depending on the car and the volume of rain from the previous days if you risk getting busy, it is exhausting. The park has no attractions.

Road in terrible condition, my car almost broke down! Endless nightmare.... I don't recommend anyone going if they don't have a suitable car: proof against rocks, pebbles, boulders and more boulders, apart from the danger of falling on the slopes, swerving or braking too quickly.... Out That's why they close the trails for nothing, it didn't even rain and they said they were on alert.... I missed the whole trip... I didn't see the canyons, I didn't do the RIO DO BOI trail.... 😤
