These are fantastic cliffs (or islets) that can be viewed from numerous places.
We saw them from the beach while visiting TjornuvĂk, but it IS possible to get a closer look.

Read the story of the stacks and, staying in Eidi tried to walk up the hills above the village to see them. Mad walks with attendant skuas, steep cliffs and beautiful views. But no stacks. Or I lost my nerve too soon. However, you can see them perfectly from the Gjorgv to Eidi road! Actually the Faroes to Iceland ferry gives you good views too, in beautiful light in August.

We saw these on the drive between Eidi and Gjorgv. There are plenty of passing places to pull over in. However, there is no information board. We also got a really good view of them from Tjørnuvík where there is a beach to stand on to easily see them and an information board with a little bit of information.

Risin and Kellingin can be seen from many different angles in the Northern Faroes. In fact, it could be different to miss these sea stacks while in these parts of the islands.

You can see them from Tjörnuvik, from the road when driving from Gjogv to Eidi, and also from the Kallur lighthouse on Kalsoy. They are interesting formations, and there is an interesting story to them.

Viewed these stacks a part of private one-day tour of the Faroe Islands. Scenery was truly spectacular.

A tremendous view of these famous rocks. Depending on the island you can see them from all different angles.

The legend is interesting but in terms of attraction similar to many other formations on the coasts of the Faroe Islands, if you passed by there it's ok but not worth the trip
