Empty of tourists! We had the beach to ourselves. Wild Atlantic way at its very best. Even in windy weather, very worth a visit.

Very worth the effort to get there. Allow enough time to explore and visit The Lost Valley while in the area.

Checked with a few locals in Westport to see if silver strand was worth the 30 minute trip from Westport It’s a Beautiful beach, surprisingly large and a good few people were out swimming. Georgus white sandy beach, unspolilt and well worth seeing.
