As said before, it is uncrowded so if you want a quieter attraction, this is the place. A great view from the top as well. We were fortunate to have an Italian friend to guide us but could imagine that information boards would be difficult....More

We didn't realise there was parking so we traipsed up from town. It's about 15 minutes and not too bad if you take it steady. You're never quite sure what you're looking at on the site but the theatre itself is spectacular. On a clear...More

The amphitheater is very similar to other theaters, but still an interesting visit. Children under 18 can enter free.

We went by ourselves in the morning. Tried the previous afternoon but there was a concert on in the evening. You felt the atmosphere of the theatre and performances in years gone by and it is a photographers dream taking in the background with Mt...More

Although the theatre at Palazzolo is much smaller than the one at Siracusa, and not much is left of the stage, and we don't know of anybody famous who came here, the experience of visiting it can be even richer, because sitting there in Palazzolo,...More

This was a very interesting site, with greek theatre seats set into the hillside and burial chambers carved out of the rocks underneath the hill. You could easily imagine the original theatre and it was a beautiful location. They were even building a stage for...More
