Walk up the streets in Namche on your active rest day for a visit to this small and interesting museum. Good viewpoint for the surrounding mountains if it isn't cloudy. Nice memorial for Tenzing Norgay.

A visit to the museum is certainly worthwhile on your acclimatization day. A quick walk through of displays gives some good information of the area!

The views from this park are amazing. Be sure to go early in the morning before the clouds start to drift down on the mountain tops. The museum itself has lots of great information and pictures.

I visited here on my rest day. It's only about a 15 minute walk and close to the Sherpa museum so worth doing both. The museum covers the natural flora & fauna, the history of the area and has some really cool old pics of the region.
Once you go outside you have the Tenzing Norgay statue but the true highlight is the killer 360 degree view of the mountains. It is spectacular.

Interesting, simple museum about nature, history and culture in Everest region. Just above the hill behind Namche, on your way to EBC or Gokyo. Worth spending a while (at least 30 minutes)

If you are passing through Namche Bazaar, take the nice walk up to the top of town and enter the park. Ama Dablam will greet you first as Nuptse, Everest and Lhotse come into view. Equally exciting is Thamserku and Sherpa's Peak looking down on you. Bring tea or coffee take in the view for at least 30 minutes, don't rush this visit as it will be one you will always remember.

Snap a selfie with Tenzing statue!

We recommend those travellers who do not love to hike up to Khumjung, better to be here with the great view of Mt. Everest and surrounding high mountains.

This simple museum is located on a perfect lookout spot above Namche Bazar (an easy walk up). It is free (though donations are welcome) and there are many exhibits covering the people, culture, geology and history of the region. All the displays are in English. Outside there is a statue to Tenzing Norgay and great views to Lhotse and Everest and across the valley to Ama Dablam. Come in the morning when the weather is clearest.
