Quite relaxed and unpretentious. The pool is not hot, just warm. Pleasant in October, uncrowded and low key. They are not overly strict and let me bathe in shorts. Set in a treed ravine.

We've visited the public pool at Rennes on several occasions because it's a delight to swim in - the very lightly chlorinated water is around 30C, and there usually aren't too many people there out of season. The setting is delightful - a deep valley...More

Wonderful buildings, breathtaking buildings. Such history, really easy to lose yourself in its past.

The town itself is lovely, with the river running through it in a pretty gorge. A couple of nice cafes in the square. Parking not that easy, but there is a bigger car park at the opposite end of the town to the baths, only...More

Lovely place. For adults and children. Warm and cold water right in nature. Good for a picnic and family day out

Lovely little bit of history on the edge of town. Make sure you go down to the baths and see the sculpture in the old tree trunk while you are there.

We have visited the swimming baths here in Rennes les Bains on a number of occasions and cannot fault the view or the waters. However, as a customer experience, it's sadly lacking. It's worth it for the swim and view but the facilities are dreadful,...More

We walked the town and had coffee before bathing in the thermal stream about 300 ms walk along the river bank. The thermal water was warm and the main stream of the river refreshingly cool afterwards. Not the best thermal baths I've experienced but there...More

The old bath is open with limited bathing area. Go instead to the public baths and pool to bathe and picnic at the remains of the Roman site.
