There is not not much left of this once fancy place. You do however get a nice walk into the mangroves from here.

The pictures make it look like it is out of Lord of the Rings. It was a nice hike but it was actually closed when we were there. Instead we hiked up to the lighthouse and that was fun. I wouldn't go out of your...More

Chateau Dubuc was absolutely beautiful! Full disclosure: I LOVE RUINS! So, yes, my review is informed by that. But that also means I've visited ruins in several countries on different continents, and this one was great! It's 5E per person to view. This comes with...More

It's a long walk from the car park to the ruins, down hill to get there so save some energy for the trip back! A map and guided tour (via earphones) makes the tour easy to follow and very informative. Not recommended for persons with...More

Great views of the remnants of chateau. Come early as it gets too hot there. Very nicely preserved remnants, easy-to-follow guide in multiple languages. Definitely worth a visit, if you have a car.

Arrive early if you want to get a good parking space. After you visit the Chateau ruins, there is a popular hiking trail that continues along the coast.

Interesting couple of hours visit round this chateau built by a wealthy family and now a ruin. You can walk round the point and the estate. The shop needs some TLC.

The site itself is in ruins, with most of what’s left being building foundations and some walls. That said, the audio tour (in English and French) is detailed and worthwhile. So, if 18th and 19th century sugar plantations are your thing, this should do. There...More

Well presented interpretation of life several centuries ago. And it's a pleasant (but hilly!) walk through the grounds. Be sure top get a map and the narrated guide (available in English or French) - a great aid to enhance one's understanding. Added bonus - a...More
