We had a guided tour of this distilleries and it was a total waste of time. The guide provided a brief explanation and then told us to read the plaques. It was really crowded so it was hard to even read them. They basically pushed...More

This is a free, self-guided tour with free rum tastings at the end, so I gave it an extra point! Basically, it's standard as a distillery. I personally think self-guided tours like this, where the information along the way is minimal but it's about an...More

One of many on the island producing a good product range from a modernised outlet with a few relics of the past in the attractive grounds, usual counter tasting and sales.

Study a few phrases in French, and you will have a fabulous time at the DePaz Distillery. You can self-tour the expansive grounds of this former plantation, which has excellent descriptive materials in French and often English. The water driven crushing wheel and the museum...More

The distillery has lovely grounds and a nice view to the ocean. The story of how the distillery continued after most of the family was killed by the eruption of Mount Pelée was interesting. The tour around the distillery was informative, however, someone with mobility...More

Rum is the drink of choice on the islands and this beautiful distillery was a gem. The drive to get there was fascinating, as you drive by Mt. Pelee, which was alternately shrouded in clouds and sun. The grounds were well kept and appealing, and...More

Stopped here on our tour. My mother toured the grounds while we nipped into the gift shop where there were free tastings! My favorite was the Mango rum--highly recommended. I didn't have time to take the tour but that looked very interesting as well. Beautiful...More

I am a rum rhum snob and do any rum/rhum distillery I stumble across. This was a gem of a find and I was totally unaware of DePaz before today! A clean and modern working distillery where you can just wander and read the signs...More

I am by no means a fan of rum but nevertheless, I was intrigued by the story of this distillery. Nestled on some beautiful property in the hills just outside Saint-Pierre, the Depaz Distillery is quite a marvel. To tour the property is free, however,...More

The distillery is about an hours drive up north. We negotiated at the port on our own with a taxi driver for a tour of the island and a stop at the distillery for about USD60 per person
