We were a bit surprised by all Winehouses asking a fee to taste their wines, as we really planning to buy some of the wines too. Some searching on the internet brought us to this cooperative, selling wines of local farmers for a reasonable price. The lady helping us checked what sort of taste we were after and we started our tasting session from there on. We finally settled on 3 boxes of 3 different sorts of wine, completely happy. No fee to taste, just good old salesmanship!

Living in Burgundy, we use the Cave Des Vignerons in Buxy regularly, and take all our friends and family when they visit. All the positives in other reviews are true: excellent choices, realistic prices, and the opportunity to taste some excellent wines before buying. But set against that is the attitude of too many of the staff. At their best, if you are lucky, they are brisk and helpful, Sadly, on other occasions, today included when we took our spending there over the last two years to over 1400€, they can be dismissive, disinterested, and offhand, barely concealing their impatience with you for disturbing their conversations with other staff. Think we will stick with the sister Cave in St Gengoux in future.

This is some of the best value for money I’ve come across in almost 10 years living in France. Honest, lovingly made quality wines, served with pride in a very generous tasting. We had small children in our group and felt very welcome. They even have toys for the kids to enjoy while the adults try the wines. Highly recommended!

.... taste beforehand, there is no hard sell and then you can (as we did) load up your trolley!! Many Burgundy wines are now beyond many people's day-to-day budget, but here the cooperative has keep prices to very reasonable levels. Need to see if they ship internationally - hope so!!

Fantastic place to taste and buy wine. Simply put, don't miss this place - get a good overview of the regional wines and grab a few bottles. We came back twice and tasted multiple wines before buying.

This is a large coorpertive in the south of the Burgundy area, selling excellent value southern Burgundy whites and reds. Collection is somewhat limited but definitely worth a visit. Not as cute as some other caves but you can taste the wines. Excellent to stock up on wine. Bring a large car.

We visited le Vignerons de Buxy on a Saturday morning and the place was busy but the staff were easily capable of handling the entire crowd. We were the only non-French visitors that morning and we were able to communicate with all the staff in a combination of our French and their English.

You get samples of any wines you are interested and they gave us a taste of a flight of Givry as well as educated us on the wines of Mercurey and the local sparkling wines called Crémant de Bourgogne.

A definite most visit location if your travels take you to the Côte Chalonnaise area.

We are regular (every couple of years) visitors to the Cave ever since Hugh Johnson (of the Pocket Wine Book published each year by him) described it as "leading co-op for decent Chardonnay & Pinot Noir).
The staff are always helpful and you can sample as much as you wish.
Very large car park & facilities.
Only the space left in the Volvo restricted our purchases!
