About
Come and have a fun-filled day on the lake. Cruise on our miniature Mississippi boat or keep law and order in your very own police speed boat!Take the family to explore the lake in one of our beautiful electric cruising boats. If you don't mind a little effort, take a pedalo for a spin.Or, if you would like to take full advantage of Huelgoat's abundant fish stocks, why not hire a professional fishing boat and visit a quiet corner of the lake?

We had a pedalo between three and my step daughter went out in her own boat, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Good fun for an hour or so and reasonably priced. Owners very friendly and informative about the local area.

We took a trip around the perimeter of the lake in July. The quiet boat gently moving us along at a stately speed, without any sense of vibration or oily smell as the motor boats used elsewhere.

The town was setting up for a firework display and concert in the evening and cheerfully greeted us as we moved by.

The children s boats looked interesting and the Mississippi Steamer was a clear favourite and had a turn of speed when viewed against some of the others.

Hopefully the weather will be good enough when you visit and you take a trip yourselves.

This is a new venture on the very pretty lake in Huelgoat and is a great addition to the village. There are small boats for kiddies, or the option of a larger boat on the whole lake for adults, or a pedalo for the energetic. The lake isn't huge, but a potter round on the boat gives you a whole new view of the area. The boats are all electric, so quiet and pollution free. It was worth the E15 for the local knowledge, the couple who run it are English, live nearby and know everywhere in the area like the back of their hand.

Well the boats were not here last year and no sign of them to date this year. However the Lake is there for people with their own water craft as such. It is shallow in parts and to my knowledge, though not signed, only electric engines due to not wanting contamination. Good for kayaking, either launch at the slip or opposite beyond the CAL if kayak or paddle boarder.

A very sucessful atfernoon out with the grandchildren, they thoroughly enjoyed being able to drive the boats themselves( with an adult on board), even though they are only 4 and 7. The people who run this attraction are extremely helpful and take great care when telling the children about steering the boats. A goood range of boats for all ages, not just young children and sensibly priced so that you can always go back again. My granchildren have already picked out the boats they want to try when they come back next year.

The lake has several sections and there are activities on each part. We went to end which has the Merlin Hotel and it was a fantastic place as a base. We were able to park close to the water and bring our dogs for long walks in the woods once we had our swim in the clear waters. This is a fantastic place to bring children, there are playground acilities and the sandy approach to the water makes this lake attractive for the smaller children. We lunched in the Merlin and had even more walks and swims.
Dogs Happy, People Happy....wonderful spot!
