Tricky to find, up a hill and down the other side, there is some shade, especially in the afternoon which keeps the number of sun worshipers down. Just as well as it is a small beach but lovely and you can swimm a fair distance along the coast quite safely.

Peace and quiet away from the port. Little sunshine on the public part so a lounger and parasol are a must . not at all expensive. Worth the trek if youre fit enough.

Tiny beach, absolutely rammed. Maybe just us, but did not look at all inviting and the walk there from the port is steeply uphill then steeply downhill.

Nice public beach on the east side of the isle. Easy reachable with public transport.
The beach is clean, and quite big compared with the other beaches.

We walked here from our hotel which was further up the coastal path so the walk was bit as arduous as others have described. We were looking for a light lunch that was not too expensive with a good view and this delivered on all three! The ‘beach’ itself is a mix of volcanic sand and rocks, the natural beach is probably 20m long when you get to the bottom of the steps but there is an artificial beach on stilts that provides a relaxing view and easy access to the see. The water is crystal clear and if you’re a confident sea swimmer offers plenty to do in the sheltered bay.

There is a place to have some food and drink when you get to the beach. Its very quirky, stones not sand although we understand at one time there was sand. We were told by the guys In the refreshment building that this beach was used by the English invasion during World War 2. Stand on the duckboards and listen to the waves. Not really a swimming beach but that's maybe just me.

The beach is quite difficult to get to and if of limited mobility you would not get there the path is up hill and then down hill with steps. It is worth the walk and when you do arrive there is a small public beach and a cafe / restaurant with private sun loungers. The water is beautiful although a little rocky underfoot but there are lots of fish and some beautiful sea urchin s.

We found this to be a lovely island, went there for a quiet holiday. Fantastic. Downfall is public transport dreadful, they will squash as many people on to the bus rather like sardines in a tin. Some places are within walking distance, any further pay the extra for a taxi.
