Been travelling down here for 20years and it is getting built up with houses especially the nearer you are to Tulum . It is very natural. Sea and reef on 1 side and the lake on the otherside of the road. Full of wild life....More

My Wife and I love the Riviera Maya and we try to visit it every year during holiday season. We usually stay closer of Playa del Carmen and always postpone our tour to Sian Kaan Reserve because it seemed to us that was to far....More

Pristine area accessed via a daunting dirt road. Great place to visit if you're not in a hurry. I like flexibility and usually default to spontaneity. This tact doesn't always work. We entered from the Boca Paila side around noon. We were told there was...More

The S'ian Kaan is well worth the trip. It is such an amazing place, with hardly any one going out there. the reason no one does, is the road, it is one giant 'topes' (speed bump). although if you can tough it out you will...More

Star with a trip to the Muyil ruins. They're the least visited ruins, the only other people we saw were 3 other tourists with a guide, which in hindsight might have been the better way to go but it was still great and easily navigated....More

Thank goodness that UNESCO has protected Sian Ka'an. It's a great place to visit during your visit to Tulum. Whether you see one bird or thousands you will come away with a deep appreciation for the fragile and bountiful environment of Quintana Roo.

Hi - We used Kan Tours which is a big tour company in Mexico. We were VERY pleased with them. This is a link to the tour we took! It was so fun - enjoy yourself! We took the Sian Ka'an Muyil tour.

Is anyone working in the office? I've tried numerous times to book a trip but doesn't seem responsive. Anyone else having trouble with communications with them? They are highly rated but their non responsiveness is very very frustrating.

Were you trying to contact Kan Tours? There are many tour companies that go there. We used Kan because it is a larger tour company. You might have called them during siesta too.
