A beautiful place to spend the day immersed in the peace and beauty of nature. Also ideal for children (but not the best with the stroller).
There is a large car park where you can leave your car, well-marked paths to follow, the highest beech trees in Europe to admire.
With the colors of autumn this place become magic, it absolutely is the best season to visit the Beech Forest!

Stunningly beautiful tall trees with a thick canopy made us feel like we were in an old world cathedral. Well-marked hiking trails made this an enjoyable visit.

What a fantastic place, so quiet and majestic in a sunny fall day. Right at the top of Monte Cimino, you can drive all the way up to a large parking lot, where you can also find a very good country restaurant. Everything is kept natural, the beech trees are tall, naturally spaced, solemn columns protecting the big boulders thrown up by the old volcano. A great place for a short hike but if you wish a 30 km - 8 hrs hike from Soriano to Vetralla, passing through this forest, you can make that too ;)

Climbed Monte Cimino and had a picnic like most of the local people on August Bank Holiday, as is traditional. Great fun and lovely walk in the shade of the beech forest on a very hot day.

A beautiful area to wander at your leisure. Plenty of trails to walk and take in the wonderful scenery that this area has to offer..We visited on a few occasions and walked quite a lot in the forest.

A beautiful place to visit - hills, woods , boulders. It was a pleasant respite from the heat in the cool, shady trees. Our teenage daughters also enjoyed climbing the boulders.
There are signposted routes , a cafe and parking.
