About
Palazzo Parisio is a stately home dating back to the times of the Knights of St John, where Grand Master Vilhena escaped busy Valletta life to go hunting. Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna bought the palazzo in 1898 and renovated it in the most fashionable Italian style. The Palace still stands in much the same state, offering an insight into the lives of Malta’s nobility at the time. Surrounded by magnificent walled gardens, Palazzo Parisio is part of the Grandi Giardini Italiani Collection, the only garden outside of Italy to bear that prestigious honour. The garden features a number of collector’s pieces including a variety of citrus as well as both Mediterranean and exotic botanical treasures, in which the Baroness of Tabria, Christiane Ramsay Scicluna, takes great pride. Palazzo Parisio is home to Luna Restaurant, where guests can stop for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. It is also the ideal venue for weddings, glittering galas, fashion shows and corporate events.

Service is Crap
Oct 2021 • Family
Service is crap. Got my espresso 15 min before the croissant. Actually first arrived a doughnut which l did not order. After complaining with the manager he ordered the waiter to get another espresso together with the croissant. The secondo espresso came and appeared in the bill as well! You ain't gonna see me again pal

Most comfortable
Jul 2021 • Couples
We are stunned by the entry's sumptuous hallway, it's luxurious fittings & lighting, the carpeting and ornaments, so well tuned to infuse an atmosphere of traditional welcome, as reception staff in their crisp uniform suavely and discretely show you the way of your choice for a walk in the gardens or to the ideal setting for an Italian aperitivo, delightful gourmet lunch or afternoon tea at the Luna restaurant. The service is impeccable at well measured voluntary intervals apt to calmly enjoy the relaxing surroundings. We cannot miss coming here whenever in Malta to experience that peronal touch that only an experienced and mindful management team can furnish. Well worth every penny.

Stunning setting, good service but insanely over priced
Jun 2021 • Family
We visited The Garden at Palazzo Parisio for a family lunch on a Sunday. We knew the place well and the setting is undeniably superb. The food was good but unfortunately the price to quality ratio is lacking. To give some ideas, a simple, basic Spaghetti al Pomodoro e Basilico costs €24, a Parmigiana Di Melanzane is also €24, assorted bruschetta containing 4 thin slivers of bruschetta cost €20! The bruschetta was undeniably tasty and well presented but at €5 a piece it’s just overpriced. Cocktails are around €15, deserts around €12/14. The food was good but was it as good as it is priced? I seriously doubt it. I definitely did not think so. Service was definitely attentive and the setting gorgeous as I said so from that aspect it was an enjoyable experience… until you remember how much it’s going to cost you!

Best meal, service and garden walk in Malta
Jun 2021
We tried the Palazzo Parisio as a recommendation from Maltese contacts. Expensive, but worth it.

This is a Michelin-level restaurant: beautiful setting inside, or out in the shaded garden. Impeccable service by all-white-clad staff. Outstanding food [we shared the salt-baked sea bream: yummmmm!] and wine.

And spent an hour afterwards with dessert puddings and digestifs in the garden pergola.

What a way to spend 3 hours in luxury!

Love the staff

Food is good and place is beautiful but the true gem are the staff who spoil you rotten. Highly recommend especially on a day when the sun is out as eating outdoors in the magnificent gardens is an experience in itself.

Very disappointing experience!
Sep 2020
I have been to Palazzo Parisio several times always experiencing a high standard of service, but the very last time I was there, Saturday 19th September, I was very disappointed. Due to a misunderstanding not caused by the friend I was with and who had confirmed the reservation of a table for two for that evening, we were told at the reception that the reservation had been cancelled, although she had phoned to reconfirm it. It was her birthday and we were supposed to celebrate it together. We did in the end. A table was found for us, but unfortunately the evening was spoilt by a DJ, the very loud music he chose, and the very poor level of his equipment. We asked the waiters whether the music could be turned down allowing us to have dinner and a conversation together, as we hadn’t met for months, but that never happened.

Disappointing
Aug 2020
Really sad they decided to close the gardens as well as the palace due to COVID. I would have thought as an outdoor location they could have kept this open as the onsite outdoor restaurant is still open. It's also not clear on the website that it's closed, you have to scroll to the bottom to find this information and I feel it should be right at the top.

Palazzo and garden closed at short notice
Aug 2020
I came to Malta for the culture - what a big disappointment. Like a lot of other cultural sites the Palazzo Parisio decided to close it‘s doors due to the Coronavirus-Pandemic. And a it seems to be a tradition in Malta they couldn‘t be bothered to put this information on their website. That‘s just lazy and negligent. And i can assure you it‘s not the handful of tourists visiting museums who‘ll spread the virus.
Stick to bella Italia, France or Spain for culture.
