Al fresco BBQ food prepared by the hotel chefs and served on the beach c/o makeshift stalls and a local band playing with glorious sunshine...what more does one want? .Staff and holidaymakers alike were dancing to the music enjoying cocktails and beers...paradise!

This is a great place to be, but hard to find. Others have given extensive reviews about how to get their, read them carefully, it's not straightforward! The coral life is amazing, in swimming distance, in shallow waters you are literally swimming in coral, as...More

Everybody that reviewed this beach was either staying at the @Memories Jibacoa or the @Cameleon Villas. I stayed with my family in Habana and wanted to snorkel in Jibacoa as this is the nearest place (not to say the only mainland place) with accessible coral...More

Sand, rock pools, mountains behind, blue sea in front.... bliss! Less than an hour by car from Havana, but very few people around. Some very low-key hawkers on the beach, but not intrusive or aggressive, and happy to chat.

I can only say, the first visit 10 years ago it was a place of extreme beauty. Now tourism had taken it tole the reef is in bad shape and the litter has taken its tole. I hope Cubans realise their treasure is being lost.

Really beautiful quiet beach. Coral reef is good for snorkelling. Really peaceful and relaxing. Good to walk the hills overlooking the beach too.

A lovely sandy beach with coral reefs, excellent for snorkelling. The edges of the beach are a bit stoney so rubber shoes are a must. Trees on the beach provide shade, and the backdrop of tree covered hills behind just complete the picture

Not that I know of. There are restaurants in the resorts, but other than that, you have to take a taxi to get to ones outside the resorts. There are a few within a couple of kilometers, but we haven't been to any of them. I... More

I agree - book Memories Jibacoa through SunWing. It's worth it for the transfer packages. The resort is lovely, and I would go soon, before all the Americans find out about it!!
