We are at Lido Pineta these days...what can I say? Chaotic place, deckchairs all packed together, to get to the sea if they put you in the back rows like us, you have to jump the obstacle. In the back rows with two children...we asked to be able to get closer for a safety issue related to the children. Although many deckchairs have been unoccupied for several days, a special recommendation is probably needed for a move! We therefore decide to sit in the front row on the free deckchairs so as not to have to stand or sit by the sea for the entire time our children are bathing. We are invited to get up first by the lifeguard, then by a person from the bar, then they call the security man, certainly more polite than all the characters we had met up to that moment! We explain our reasons and they dismiss us by saying that people have been booking for that queue since December, which is denied by two guys who arrived shortly before and we asked! However, we were aware of having to get up when they gave the umbrella to someone. I think that going as far as telling a customer either you get up or we'll make you get up is bordering on the absurd! Moral of the story? Shortly afterwards, a street vendor sits on the same deckchair and braids her hair and they leave her there without any problems! *I attach photos. Having said this, thinking of working with long-lasting tourism solely based on a stupendous sea is not a sufficient ingredient, when education and attention to the customer are lacking! The lifeguard, on the other hand, should have the task of supervising and preventing street vendors from stopping with their carts full and overflowing with stuff which blocks the view of those bathed in the water, thus not guaranteeing the right safety... a couple of days ago, for this reason, a a little over one year old girl risked drowning... persisting towards a free deckchair perhaps makes little sense! 270 euros rental per week for the umbrella and to take a shower they ask for a token, shame on you!

So we need to clarify what we want and at what price.
If in August in an establishment in Torre Lapillo like this I pay 20€ for the sixth or seventh row (Monday to Thursday), I have to accept that in fact the space is minimal (never seen umbrellas so close) and all the chaos that follows.
The structure is old, 80s style, with mega tent and lots of tables to eat, but at the same time it is of an absurd comfort. To eat there are pizza and fried even to bring under the umbrella. Food costs a bit (1.5€ half a liter of water).
I didn't know, and I found myself there. I paid less than others at Torre Lapillo, but it was almost unlivable.

We visited this lido two days in a row because we loved it so much the day before. They have parking at 5€ per day and their prices for umbrella and lawn chairs are pretty on par with other lidos we tried around Puglia. We did not reserve in advance on either day and were able to find place (at the back but that didn’t bother us - we also arrived late morning). Yes, the chairs are a little close together but again, we found this to be the norm at all of the lidos we visited.
We also ate lunch there two days in a row and the food was fresh, reasonable prices, nice portion sizes and most of all, very tasty.
The beach itself is beautiful. The sand is very light coloured and the water is crystal clear. You can see your toes in the water. It is quite shallow. Just perfect! The kids loved it so we had to return the next day! Highly recommend.

Beautiful sea.
Lido that leaves something to be desired, with umbrellas piled together.
It's really uncomfortable.
Bar and restaurant in the norm.
Showers and toilets not clean.
For an umbrella and two sunbeds are spent in July 25 euros (+ parking 5 euros per day).
Spending a little more, the situation changes radically (trust me).
Bad experience.
Absolutely not Recommendation.

It must have been Sunday, it must have been August but umbrella far from the beach that you could not even glimpse the sea. 35 euros plus 5 parking an exaggeration to then be glued to the neighbors of umbrella. Only positive note the service for lunch with pizza and other dishes... Good pizza and fries.

Clean beach, well-made food and well-stocked bar.

Very crowded and with umbrellas very close to each other.
We stayed for 2 weeks with a spring reservation and were never granted a first or second row despite there being empty sunbeds here and there.
Unfriendly owners,

I called to make a reservation for 2 sunbeds and umbrella knowing that they accepted dogs.
But the answer was small dogs allowed.. medium size dogs not allowed..
But do we realize???? Crazy
Deleted from the list even if I return without the dog..

The sea is very beautiful, but the management in these places of the beaches is bad, also because they charge sunbed and umbrella. A mass of. Umbrellas and sun loungers. Normal restaurant service but with high prices (9€ for a plate of orecchiette with tomato),
Unfortunately the Salento is not yet ripe for tourist reception.

Nice beach, clean. Courteous staff.
Umbrella and two sunbeds €30. Possibility to eat at the lido restaurant. We had schnitzel with very good fries, very good stuffed pizzas. Fair prices and generous portions.
If we really want to find a flaw it is the umbrellas that are very close together, but we didn't have any problems with the neighbors.
The bathrooms are a bit far from the establishment so not very comfortable. Parking for €5 all day.
Stunning sea with the possibility of walking on the beach

Lido very cozy, very clean and equipped with all comforts. The only thing: in 2024 to my question: "what do you have to eat gluten-free?" to the kitchen director I can not answer "nothing .. because with all that scent that is in the air all day... you can not exclude so those who have this type of problem... improve this thing, because it is a sign of sensitivity, hospitality and openness. I hope to come back and find improvements...
