Traveled there with a bunch of people with a rental car during a student exchange in Sweden. This trip was definitely worth the time it took to travel there (approximately 3 h) from the city of Borlänge. I recommend you to prepare well for the...More

The park contains unique nature, offers some splendid views and several options for day hikes or multi-day treks. These mountains aren't the alps, but are stunning by all accounts. The flora is interesting and made all the more beautiful in their autumn glory. The contrast...More

Walked up to the waterfall with our 2 little children (2 and 4), no problems at all. We took the short version (2+2km) and it took us a couple of hours (3) including breaks. View is stunning. Easy paths, there's also some cabins for shelter...More

It was too crowded. Beautifull park, but maybe better take the long hikes. Too much noise and screeming from all the people.

I honestly thought I would die up that mountain, couldn't see how I ever would get down alive. I'm not an experienced walker, but there were no warnings how difficult the hike would be.

Easy to find and the building in which you get info about the park is amazing - great architecture and underlaying understanding of the surrounding nature. The hiking paths were easy to find and follow - although it was a little hard to find the...More

We visited Funufjallets as part of a Great Glen wildlife holiday and found it a wonderful place. The signposted walk through forest and past a waterfall were fascinating. The reserve centre is one of the best I've seen and the RSPB could learn a lot...More

This visit is worth the trip both summer and winter, the surroundings around Njupeskär is beautiful. The waterfall in winter is one big spectacular ice-sculpture, summertime its a wonderful waterfall. Make sure you take some time to watch the movie about the thunderstorm that hit...More

Fulufjällets National Park is located close to the Norwegian border. It is an absolute must see when travelling in mid-Sweden. Easy accessible to the entrance, going inside requires good walking shoes. No entrance fee, no parking fee!
