Me and my son were at this resort in February 2020 to take a ski course. the resort is not large, it has 85% blue and red slopes, so it is suitable for begginers and average skiers. Also good for learning new skiing styles or to improve skills. We had wonderful sunny weather for three whole days. The slopes were groomed and not too crowded with skiers. The only complaint is the small capacity of the restaurants, at lunchtime they were always full, despite the smaller numbers of people in the area. It would certainly be worthwhile to build at least one more restaurant. Overall, we were very satisfied with skiing on the Widkogel and I would definitely recommend a visit to families with children. We did not try sleigh rides, but according to many people with rented sledges it is very popular and the track should be one of the longest in Austria.

14km toboggan run at Wildkogel was brilliant. 9euro to rent toboggan and 32 euro for all day pass for cable car. You can either take the gondola to the top or come off about half way. The top part of the run are for toboggans only and a bit slow in parts - but good to get used to steering! Then you merge with a blue ski run - which is faster, with hair pin bends and icy in parts - adds to the excitement for sure!

Not family friendly ski resort, bad weather compared to other ski resorts in the area, the ski schools are located at 2100 m altitude, so prepare 22 eur per day extra, if you want to bring your child to ski schools. Smoking everywere inside the restaurants. From 60+ km of slopes, do not consider some 20+ km which are for sledging...overall I recommend Kitzbuhel - 6 min by car or the ski amade area- you'll get more for your money.

Longest Sled Run in the world with spectacular views and lots of fun. Since the building of the Smaragbahn (Sled lift) you start and end in the town of Bramberg. Rental shops and restaurants within walking distance. Lift takes about 20 minutes to the top and then 14 kilometers of smiles. The halfway point has a bar that is a non-stop party. We've returned year after year.

Great ski area, not too busy but has great slopes, a nice restaurant up top, and good lifts. They have a nice kids ski school and the runs were well-maintained. I would definitely ski here again!

36 euro for a road. Ok the view is beautiful. There is no gletsjer anymore. It's a very long road with many stops.

Brand new chalets, walking distance to ski lift and slopes. On site restaurant has the best breakfast options ever- can even order your own bread delivery from local bakery! Staff and spa services are fabulous. Highly recommend this resort! And don’t forget to do the sledding - a super fun 14km bucket list activity.

Excellent ski area with lot's of red and blue slopes and a few doable black ones. Around 10 o'clock you have to cue to take the cable car up. A bit more parking space would be better.

Second time me and my family have visited this mountain. Where do is start, getting there is i suppose, go on the Smaragdbahn lift in Bramberg, use your summer card and you pay nothing! Once your at the top (2100m) either pop in to the Wildkogel alm, go for a walk around the ponds, paly with the kids in the brilliant kids park, climb up the Wildkogel (400m distance but 100m climb) be rewarded with fantastic views 360 degrees of the Kitbuhler alps. Can even view the snow to the south in summer.
Top tip, in summer banzai down the mountain on the go kart trikes for 3,5km to the mid station and come back up again on the lift, costs 12 Euros but worth it, especially reaching speeds of 36kmph.
All in all relax and enjoy, we did.
