About
The Bucalossi family bought the estate from the Florentine noblewoman Emma Bizzarri. They have maintained the name “Casa Emma” respecting the historical roots of this land. The inherent philosophy of the company is to integrate the work of men with the surrounding environment so they merge into a single block of spectacular beauty. The estate of Casa Emma with its beautiful botanical park of Chianti with the blossoming roses of Chianti, with its beautiful vineyards, arranged like an amphitheater around the central core, reveals an ancient philosophy of life, where one can truly enjoy everything that surrounds them only by merging into it and thereby contribuiting to its improvements. Located at the heart of Chianti Classico, at an altitude of 420m. above sea level, the vineyards of Casa Emma are surely among the greatest expressions that a land like Chianti Classico can offer.

We had a lunch tasting at Casa Emma that was such a fantastic experience. Our Sommelier Andrea was outstanding in his passion and knowledge of the Chianti region and Casa Emma's winery. The food was amazing....and the wine! just outstanding! we had 4 courses of the most delicious seasonal dishes for the region with a different wine to complement each. we didn't feel rushed and enjoyed beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape while we ate and drank to our heart's (and tummy's) delight! We each ordered a case to have shipped home which included the most incredible Olive Oil and the best balsamic vinegar I have ever tasted. It was easy and such a treat to come home to. I highly recommend a day trip to this winery, its truly a unique Tuscan experience not to be missed.

What a great experience it was to have a tour, tasting and lunch at Casa Emma! We were part of a group of 10 adults on an amazing day trip from our tour ship when we arrived at Casa Emma. After giving us a tour of their beautiful landscape and crushing machine we entered their restaurant and was immediately taken to our table to begin a wonderful tasting and lunch. The young women who served us balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Chianti’s and lunch was very informative and charming. At one point I think there was at least 40 glasses on the table!. We had a wonderful day, and some of us ordered wine, vinegar and balsamic vinegar to be shipped back. I served Chianti for the holidays, everyone loved it!

My wife and I stopped here on a multi vineyard excursion. One of our favorite stops. We purchased a case of wine to be shipped back to the states. It arrived 3 weeks later and every bottle we open reminds us of the vineyard. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and welcome you like family. They take their time to share all the intricacies of each wine they produce. A true gem!

Toured the Casa Emma this past summer and I have to admit the tour, the food and the wine were spectacular! Not only did we learn about the grapes and the stringent regulations regarding Chianti Classico certification, the olive oil and the balsamic too! Everything was outstanding. We even purchased wine, olive oil and balsamic and it was delivered to our house within the time frame promised. I highly recommend this spot as this region is rich in history and it’s so beautiful too.

You must go here. Absolutely amazing.
We had the 5 courses and wine pairing. The food and wine were both exceptional. The flavours of the dishes were outstanding, one of the best meals we have ever had.
The staff and the views were incredible. Would definitely return if we visit Florence again.

Beautiful setting in the Italian countryside, a short drive from Florence. Attentive staff, well informed, deliver up a panel of outstanding wines. We regret not having time to stay and dine at the restaurant. A visit here will reward the palate!

I’m not even that into wine and we ended up buying nearly €400 worth of their superb Chianti, sparkling and rose wines. Plus their truffle oil (made with actual truffle) and balsamic (more like caramel!).
Just a gorgeous vineyard with lovely staff using traditional methods to create what clearly is an amazing product across the board. We’re looking forward to our case arriving soon!

We had the best time at Casa Emma! Our guide to the winery on the bus there was wonderfully informative. And our guide at the winery was just as wonderful! The wine we tasted was fantastic as was the olive oil and balsamic vinegar we tasted. We bought over $500 worth of wine and oil and vinegar to have shipped home and we wish we bought more! The vineyard is lovely. I highly recommend Casa Emma!

Our guide for the day, Alex, brought us to Casa Emma because it is small and the people are personable and friendly. We had a multi course lunch with a wine pairing. Their specialty is Chianti. We had a short tour of the building where the wine is made and then went on to lunch. The dining room overlooks a Tuscan valley. You can buy wine to have shipped back to the US. The person who guided us through the wine tasting was very knowledgeable and friendly.

We visited Casa Emma as an extended family of 7 made up of 2 parents, 4 in their early 20's and 1 in her teens. The visit was both educational and enjoyable. The wine was excellent accompanied by some great snacks. We visited as part of a bus tour, and it was definitely enhanced by being part of a very sociable and fun group. I would do it again!

There is a driver (Giovanni, speaks English) from the Florence area.
I have his cell number but not right at this moment. I'll plug it in later. let me know if you are truly interested.
My friend and I are planning a trip to Italy this summer and we want to visit Casa Emma. Would we have to make a reservation or are we allowed to just show up? Also, what are the prices for a tour of the winery?

Hi,
We are staying in Florence near Ponte Vecchio. What is the best way to get to this winery from Florence? We just want to visit the wine shop and do some tastings as we will not have time for a full tour. We have Eurail passes so if there is an option of using that it would be helpful (I'm guessing there isn't but just thought I would ask). Or if there is another train we could take and then take a taxi from the station? What would be the closest train station? Also, we have not been able to find a price online for just the tastings. Does anyone know the price? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
