I did not have high hopes after reading that Ngapali was the only worhtwhile beach to visit. However, Ngwe Saung is well worth the 7 hour journey from Yangon for a long weekend.
Long palm tree lined beach stay at the northern end for a nicer part of the beach and lots of food and souvenir options.
Really clear water and white sand, parasols and sun loungers available (no charge).

Clean Beach and Beautiful beach. We visited always to the beach with family. Amazing felt for relaxation. But I a little disappointed to quard bike and water sports when we have on the beach after that food seller and offer people are very disturbed to our freedom.

Stunning beach but the locals seem to treat it like a rubbish dump. Heaps of plastic bottles, and rubbish adorn the white sands in front of the luxury hotels. We visited in the low season and apparently the rubbish is left to wash away then during high season the beaches get tidied. We walked a couple of kms north, found a clean spot, and had a swim. This beach could be a hot spot of the future if the locals took some responsibility to care for their treasure. That said we learn some of the local language basics and we're greeted with smiles, song, and their warm hospitality.

從仰光 只要六個小時的車程。是緬甸三個海灘之一,總體來說,比Chang Tha beach 還要乾淨。海灘上 ,能騎馬 和摩托車。 晚上,可放鞭炮。可以去 Snake island, Bird island , Lover island , snorkeling and turtle island. 可以品嚐新鮮的海鮮哦!

Excellent hotel resort area that offers ample opportunities to rest and unwind. Most hotels offer spa and massage. An elephant camp is situated just 30 min drive from the town - definitely worth visiting. Emerald Resort and Spa is probably the best for its location, clean bungalows and friendly and helpful staff.

Started off very clean but after about a week it had become rather dirty with coconuts and bits of rubbish strewn around. Local beach bar ok to watch the sun go down.

It is a long stretch of beach with soft sand but it does seem to get a bit of rubbish left by locals. Don't get me wrong it is not an a big issue but if the hotels were to keep their little bit clean and tidy it would be so much better.

Ngwe saung beach is my favourite!! The water is clear and clean than Chaung Thar beach. You can ride a bicycle, can play the water, can ride a motorbike and a horse. You can relax on the beach side. Seafood are also delicious.

Not a bad beach but is littered with plastic bottles and other trash. The horse rides offered are terrible unless you want to be led around at a walk for 5 minutes for 5k kyat. The horses have no training other than to be threatened with sticks and do not listen whatsoever to the person riding them.
