I did this with my daughter, and having done several different "rodelbahn's" around Austria and Germany, this one is on the top of my list! First of all because you can go really fast, the track is great, curvy and steep. And second because the way to go there is absolutely beautiful. Follow the sign LECHTAL (from Reutte) and most of all don't drive too fast, 60-maximum 70 km/h and open the windows, put a nice escaping music and let it gooooooo!

Wow. Wow. Wow.
Brilliant. What a most excellent and exhilarating coaster this is.
We were staying in Elbigenalp so managed to visit on 2 days.
The staff are good and friendly. It takes a little while to be pulled up to the top but not very long to get back down again!!
Every now and then you may not get a clear run due to slow riders as you can control the speed yourself with the brake.
You don't need the brake through. Most of my runs were without using the brake. Just make sure the seat belt is tight or you get thrown around a bit.
Better than the longer coaster at Imst because the twists and turns are tighter and it has some steep bits. Love the toilet at Scheißhaus corner!
Cant wait to go back. Highly recommend it.

This is a family run operation that is not as professional as the coasters in Fiss, Serfaus, Golm or Imst but that has its benefits too.
Half the staff will be pleased to see you, the other half will resent your presence.
Unlike the others you do not need to pay for a cable car to take you up the mountain, you get on your toboggan and are pulled up which is a very pleasant experience.
The round trip is 12 minutes.
There is a carpark right next to it, just off the main road so it is very easy to reach.
Whilst it is the shortest of the coasters listed it is cheaper (and if you're staying local you get an additional 10% discount) and has far less queues which means you get to go more times.
We were there in the summer holidays between 1000 and 1100 and only saw a dozen other people. Compare that to Fiss where the queue was 2 hours by 1100...
It is single rail which makes it wobbly so you can't throw yourself around at speed like you can on the double rail coasters but that's something that only the adults noticed. The children didn't care.
There's a cafe on-site but it was not appealing...
A mile away is Oberlechtal an outdoor pool used by locals with a water slide and plenty of space to sunbath. It's not the most salubrious but it made a good thing to do in the afternoon.

We were up to an afternoon of fun with a big group. This attraction concerns a "rodelbahn", a kind of one-person rollercoaster/slide in which you are responsible yourself for breaking on the way.
It is a looooooong way up (5-6 minutes) with nothing to see or hear, and once you start the descent, you find yourself at the finish line after 45-60 seconds for the nice price of €7.50, way too expensive for a ride this short.
There are many rules to follow, except a rule which says you can't slide down without breaking, because that gives the most thrills...
Unfortunately, this rule is hidden... so if they catch you sliding down without breaking, they will FORBID you aggressively to ride again, even if you have bought a ticket already, no refund.
We will NEVER go back to this shortest-slide-ever with the most unfriendly staff we ever met!
Don't get caught in this tourist trap.

This was our second visit. We love the Wally Blitz. We had 3 go's each. On the 3rd got down with minimal breaking for a breathtaking run! 24 runs €80.40. (2x kinder, 1x teen, 5x adult x3 runs each = 24 runs)
This activity is great for kids, teens & adults.
Recommended.
There is a really nice bar with spotless toilets next to the ticket office. There is very little shade by the track.

This track is only present in the Summer months (it reverts to a ski slope in Winter) but provides a great venue for families and youth groups. The single rail design means you tilt and wobble a bit more than the dual rail systems, but the bonus is that the track is very well thought out with a range of tight bends, steep drops and things to look out for on the way down. The ascent is smooth and gives you a chance to enjoy the scenery (I saw a deer) the descent has your heart in your mouth! Ignore the comments about not being allowed to use the brake by an earlier reviewer - many of our Scouts (and leaders) did - at least on the first few run.

As we were in the Lechtal with JEKA, Nial made our booking. Paid about 3.70 Euro per head. All our Guides enjoyed the rides. Staff great, use the cafe on site, apfelstrudel just GREAT! Postbus at Alpenrose, a ten minute walk through village. Recommend to all, ask about price if bulk booking, you can get a discount. staff just great, esp young lady on a working holiday from Cologne?, service fine.

Took our group of 38 Scouts and 14 adults to Wally-Blitz Alpine Coaster twice during our 10 days in Austria. The staff could not have been nicer and were very accommodating to our group when it came to a price!
The kids (both young and old) loved the experience and it was a highlight for many of them.
Great time had by all and would recommend this as a fun simple activity for all the family

We took a group of Guides to the Lech Valley over the May half term and whilst we were there visited the Wally Blitz. All the girls really enjoyed Wally Blitz and had several runs each - with them getting more confident and faster with each run. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The girls enjoyed themselves so much that when we asked the next day whether they wanted to go swimming or to the Wally Blitz again, the response was unanimous - Wally Blitz!
Would definitely recommend if you are staying in the Lech Valley.

Expensive, boring, unfriendly! Last year we were in Drachental in Wildschönau on the Flitzer. It was better, cheaper and the people were much friendlier.
