This is not for everybody. The Hot Pots are not turned into Pool areas as you see so often and personally I think this is perfect. 2 nice hot pools are cordoned off with rocks. Clear water. No facilities. You are basically on someone's farm grounds. Relatively private though. Pay a small fee to the local / friendly small farm owner. Nice and warm. 38 degrees Celsius and up. The road to get here is a bit tricky hence the lack of tourism I am sure but everyone in the area can point you in the right direction if you have a car. Several tour companies can bring you here also. Through a village - on a dirt road for a while - over a bridge - keep left at the fork back up the hill and walk the last 300 meters through the forest. The 3rd hot spring ends up in the river. Locals with a shovel dig up some dirt and turn it into a wall and create their own little hot pool on the bank of the (cold) river. Awesome. They leave a small opening in their wall and share their shovel for you to create your own little sub pool. Beautiful area. Hopefully the development stays away. Keep it as-is but promote it through local hotels and tour companies. Worth the adventure and trip to find it if you are a little open minded.

Three small thermal pools situated near a picturesque boulder strewn river. On site spider monkey called Cheetah is the star attraction really. Very friendly and cuddly but watch your things as she may run away with them.

The place is not easy to find, and there's a 30 minute walk over rough terraing that is difficult for children. Find a guide that can set up horses to take you to the spring, and you can a two-in-one trip. The springs are small and the facilities non-existent, but it's still a very nice, outdoorsy, different thing to do in Boquete.
