Man’s desire to explore the world underwater is as old as man himself. In Greece, a country with more than 16.000 km of coastline, everyday life is connected with the sea. Enclosed and ancient, the Mediterranean Sea, with steep rocky shores, great depths and transparent crystal clear waters, shelters a magic world quite unknown to most.Athos Padi Resort Diving center, open all year round, is located in Northern Chalkidiki, 4 km from Ouranoupoli, on the majestic beach of Eagles Palace & Spa Resort. In a fabulous natural environment, 30 meters from the turquoise sea of Athos peninsula, the area has been worthily characterized by UNESCO as of “special natural beauty”.

This is the best dive centre I have ever been to. The equipment is less than 12 months old and only the best brands. The centre is split correctly into wet and dry areas and all briefings take place in a dedicated area with proper graphics of every dive site. Safety is the prime concern and everything here is first rate. Nikki, Katerina and Yiannis are amongst the best guides/teachers/buddies anywhere in the world. This year we did three family boat dives, a night dive and a deep (40m) dive. The marine life was sensational with great vis (30+m) and warm temps down to the first thermocline at 16m. Animals seen: octopus, conger and moray, cuttlefish, lobster, sea bream and amberjack.
Whether you are experienced or a novice, if you find yourself sitting on the beach just stroll over and book a dive.

Very kind and super professional staff wth huge experience. The equipment was just perfect and all the dive sites was awesome with lot of sea life and breathtaking underwater landscape.I strongly recommend them.

I want to say a huge thank you to Nicky and the whole team at Athos diving. My two children aged 10 and 13 did the open water PADI certificate over The course of five days and had the best time. They were taught so well and thoroughly by Nikki. Thank you! When they had qualified we went out on a family dive and I was blown away by the beauty of the diving.. amazing visibility and sea life. Do not hesitate to use Athos Diving they are superb!

After 17 years of diving all over the world. I can honestly say this was the best diving centre I have ever been to. I have never felt so at home diving anywhere. I felt safe at all times, totally relaxed and just able to enjoy the diving. The location was perfect and we will be taking nothing but good memories with us.

We just spent a week in the area and I completed the Open Water Course and our daughter a bubble blower module. Nikki is an incredible teacher: she inspires confidence, trust and a feeling of safety which is amazing given that the last day involves taking your scuba tank off 9 m underwater! The equipment is either brand new or slightly older and expertly maintained. The dive site they have created for the closed water dives is creative and full of interest. Going on my first boat dive with Katerina was one of those never to be forgotten moments. If you are an experienced diver, don't hesitate as the breadth and variety of diving is superb; if you are new to the sport or less confident, you could not have a better teacher anywhere than Nikki.

I went by chance to this particular scuba diving center to take my first lessons to be an open water diver. What I found was two professionals with huge commitment to their work and respect to the environment around them. The diving courses were always enjoyable with delightful visits to the artificial reef close by the diving site. The diving equipment was at an excellent state like the teachers! This experience couldn't be more positive and inspiring to continue diving. Girls, I hope I will see you next summer for the advanced open water diving certificate!

If you spend holiday on Halkidiki you have to visit Athos Scuba Diving. If you dont you miss a lot. Great dive base, dive sites, equipment ( my favourite Tusa fins), brand new speed boat and lovely instructors. Hope will see you soon. Filakia Katerina, Niki. Say Hi to Teo.

In the least expected place in Halkidiki, just before Agion Oros, a great diving center. The center is beautifully located on a great beach; the crew is friendly and very professional. They have well planned dives in amazing sites! The underwater landscape is magic, rocks and crests, holes full of sea life. Totally enjoyable place to dive.

This was the 3rd time we have visited Niki and Katerina. Diving is their life. Passion, excitement and an extraordinary diving experience is what they provide. Whether you are a novice or an expert they pitch your dive to give you the best, most relaxed diving memory. I have seldom come across anyone who has such motivation, even though for them they do this many times a day, every day.
We will be going back a 4th time, and a 5th..... If you want an instructors / guides that really care about your diving experience, Niki and Katerina should be top of your list.
Just go there and see. A 5 star Hotel next door for R&R, warm water, dozens of dive sites they have explored and fabulous support from them for any standard of diver.

Me and my wife are staying here from 4th July, I have AOW, have dived thailand and Mauritius, but am so excited having read all of the amazing reviews, literally cannot wait. See you soon guys !!

We are family of three, our girl is 9 years old. We have never done something like this, but we would really like to try. How long it takes to learn how to dive and how much this costs? Thanks

Hi,
At Athos Dive centre they will give you a "taster" dive to just experience diving.
This lasts about an hour or two. I'm sure they can tell you the cost. If you decide to actually get your open water skill level then it does take a good few days of diving each day as you also need to know how to put the equipment together and take it apart at the end of each dive and learn some bookwork on diving safety/equipment etc.
We spent maybe 6-7 dives to get to this level and gain the PADI pass.
Again, I am sure the girls in the school will tell you the cost but as a guess I think we paid around Eur60 a day per person.

Winter months are not appropriate for scuba diving. The water is 16-17 degrees and the temperature is around 10-15 degrees during the day and 0-5 degrees during the night.
