On leaving Bath heading towards the M4 be sure to look across to the left to get one of the best views in Somerset, quintessential England.

This is a straightforward uphill climb from either Bathampton or Batheaston and the views are fantastic. I defy anyone that climbs to the top not to have the Peter Gabriel song of the same name going round in your head!

Famous small flat topped triangular shaped hill with great views. Road goes to the top but with no parking anywhere nearby only the fit walker can see them which is a pity.

Need to get out of the city. This is one of several places to do it. The views are great, especially around sunset and the walk is refreshing.

It can be a little tricky to drive and park to this place but it is a great stroll around. There are public footpaths that join up to this hill though. get out the OS Map.
