Stopped here for wine tasting on recommendations from prior visitor and not disappointed. The food plates that accompany the wine are perfect. Great views, friendly staff, and saw a wedding right next door. The tour of the facility and the history was also very interesting...More

We stopped here on our tour and although it was a quick visit we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and explained each wine we were tasting. The wine was not as sweet as I normally drink, but it was good. The view is...More

Walked in for wine tasting to catch the sunset, cost us 12€ for 5 wines - 2 whites, 2 reds and 1 dessert (their signature Vinsanto). While we couldn't exactly see the sun due to the time of year, the view of sunset on Santorini...More

There was a beautiful view for sunset, and the setting was great. Even the inside tasting room had a nice atmosphere. The wines were just okay and the services was inconsistent. The food was good though, so it was nice to have a variety of...More

A spectacular venue to enjoy some very good wine, with friendly hosts. But what makes the site a must see are the views. Perched high, with very steep drop to the caldera, and Fira and Oia in the distance. Just beautiful.

This is one of the most unique wineries I have ever been to. It is built into a hill overlooking the Santorini caldera. A true architecture feat. The wines were superb and the food pairings were perfect. I will never forget our tasting there, and...More

Picture yourself overlooking the Caldera, sipping on exceptional wine, and basking in the glorious Greek sunshine... you'll find that here. While our stop was part of a different tour, I would definitely return to this winery. The wine was delicious, actually, some of the best...More

They had fantastic grape leaves. Don’t remember much of Menu. Light fare. We had cheese from Naxos and Gracie leaves. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and the view to die for

Sorry I’m not sure about other drinks as we just had wine and water! I would assume a reservation is necessary as seating is limited

Planning a Special Birthday Excursion. Is this doable? (6 Replies)
My husband and I will be in Santorini for a special milestone birthday. I am planning a special day for him on his actual birthday in addition to the other activities we will experience while in Greece (Athens, Ancient Corinth, and Mykonos included). This is what I would like to do on his actual birthday. 1) We are staying in Oia, we would travel to Akrotiri in the morning (by bus?) to see the ruins. 2) I would like to then head to Megalachori to Venetsanos Winery for the tour and...More

Venetsanos Winery or Santo Winery? (5 Replies)
Hi all, I wonder if anybody may be able to give me their opinion on 2 venues for our wedding ceremony. We have narrowed it down to 2 which are Venetsanos Winery or Santo Winery. Has anyone had their weddings at either of them or visited both and could give an opinion? They both look totally beautiful in the photos and as we will not be visiting before our wedding we are totally reliant on photos, websites and reviews so would appreciate any views you may have!! Thanks for your help :-)

Although Venetsanos Winery is on at least one of the winery tour itineraries, Santo Winery is visited by many busloads of cruise ship passengers during the day, so it's not the most intimate setting.

Suggestions on where to eat and things to do (8 Replies)
Hello! I wanted to thank everyone for their help so far on this forum. My trip is coming up in a week and Ill be heading to Santorini for a week with my girlfriend. I pretty much have 4 days with a car in Oia and 3 days without a car in Fira. I already know that Ill be doing the walk from Oia to Fira and Venetsanos winery. Any other suggestions as to what else to do? Im open to all suggestions! Thanks
