Traveling alone and looking for a shared ‘Supershuttle’ type service, I could not believe that most Santorini airport transfer companies insisted on ‘minimum two passengers’ for a space in a shared van, even though I was one person. They wanted to charge me double. Complete ripoff. Notos didn’t do this. They sell single tickets for shared transfers at a fair price. Communication and service were efficient and friendly. Bravo!

I used Notos travel for the transport from Santorini Airport to Perissa. Actually I booked with Holiday taxi but the shuttle was arranged by this local travel agency. The service was reliable and hassle free. As the transfer from JTR airport by bus is nit convenient due to bad bus timing. The driver helpful and friendly. The shuttle was bought just for me as a single person.

We started the tour at 11:40 am, which means we missed the tour in Thira because we were not informed from the beginning about the itinerary. The tour guide kept some people in the front of the bus entertained, but the voice is not clearly heard in the back of the bus. If your hotel is not on the same way as the majority of the other people on the bus, please be aware you might be moved to a different bus (not as nice a bus) to be dropped off.

WORST DAY TRIP WE’VE ever experience! It’s cheap! But the service and quality you get is also CHEAP!!

The bus driver was ok...

The tour guide (Kady or Katie) was AWEFUL!!!! The absolute worst tour guide we’ve ever encountered! First off our entire trip was late! Because she was late! Then when she finally walked in the bus, this horrible odor just bombarded our faces (personal hygiene issues). She didn’t lay out the ground rules on the bus, she just started yelling at people for “no drinking” in the bus, yet she was DRINKING !!! In the bus! What a hypocrite! Then we went to the beach, and she embarrassed these two ladies because she said they could no longer ride the bus because they were “wet” I personally saw the girls and they were not wet. But, what upsets me the most was she didn’t tell people or tried helping people understand the rules. Lastly, my wife and I are having a nice conversation and she disrespected me and said “you’re talking too loud, did you want to talk?” Who the heck says that? Embarrassing your clients in front of everyone, there were no sarcasm it was addressed sincerely. How are you going to tell the whole bus the the main income of your country is “tourism” yet you provide the worst service!!!!!! So much for a tip! Only tip this service is getting is to let all y’all know not to sign up! Find a different company!

The tour guide was nice. The driver had skills. Overall not worth the money. You get put on a large bus. Go up to the highest point, 15 min there for photos. Then to the village where the guide does talk a little, but you have no free time there. Then to the archeological site, which was great. The guild there (Kate) was outstanding. BUT you have to pay to get in. And everyone has to wait for everyone to buy there own tickets. You are near the red beach but we didn’t know it was there and were not shown it. Then to the black beach for lunch, for 1-2 hours. Nothing to do there except eat lunch or sit by the water. (2pm lunch) No stores or shops. Then to the wine tasting, which was fine, but only time to sample. Then they drive you to Oia where you have to find your own sunset spot and have to find your bus in a sea of buses afterwards. We skipped Oia. Overall, I wish I just spent the euro 1.80 and taken a public bus to the archeological site and hired a guide.

NOT RECOMMENDED! Extremely bad way to start the day and the tour. Received two different confirmation emails from booking agency Viator that the departure time is 11am but travel agency NOTOS TRAVEL (organiser of this trip) will advise closer to date the time and pick up location.

Received a later email from NOTOS TRAVEL that our pick up time is 11.30am. To our surprise, we received a call from hotel reception at 11am that the bus has left without us. We were told to take a taxi to the next place at our own expense. EURO 25 in all for a 15 min ride to Akrotiri from Firá! Taxi Is not cheap in Santorini and in limited number by the way. Thankfully our hotel was able to book us one that came straight away.

When we arrived at the next stop, we found the bus but the guide, Yannis (John in English) did not acknowledge our presence. He also did not gave us any information/instruction that we saw him giving on the bus. The information was about which ticket to buy at the museum. Then at Akrotiri admission, we asked him which ticket we have to buy when the counter staff asked us and he told us one big story about what different price tickets are for. Just tell us what you told the group and which one we have to buy! We have to figure out ourselves which ticket we had to buy even after asking him.

Before departing Akrotiri, he warned the group sarcastically about the importance of not being late because the bus will leave without you. THANKS for your warning, man! The mistake was made by your travel agency in the first place and we had to pay for YOUR MISTAKE by paying for our own taxi?! Is that ridiculous or what?

Next the trip was overbooked. Bus was filled to the brim until two passengers ended their half day tour while the rest of us continued with our full day tour.

Our wonderful Santorini was spoilt by this day trip. Thank you again NOTOS Travel for this “wonderful” trip.

Dear schen2017, Thank you for your comment. We are trying every day to improve our services and achieve our goals. We are not happy at all that we couldn’t provide the service you expected and the service we wish for. As I understand the miscommunication has ruined the whole joy of the tour and I am happy that you mentioned our weakness in order to improve it in the future. We remain always at your disposal.

What I can say about the most beautiful island that i ever visited. We took full day tour arranged by the hotel, started at 9 am until sunset around 9 pm. We went to Prehistoric Town of Arkotiri, since I dont really like history, it was only OK. But, from there only 5 min walking you can reach red sand beach, it was windy when we arrived there. Such an amazing beach. After that, heading to black sand beach. We had our lunch there, many Greek restaurants with front beach view. I forgot the name of the restaurant, but the food was delish and worth the price. Lunch was done, continued to Megalochori village, the town is so quite because everyone gone for working. One word, im totally impressed with all traditional taverns, original houses, restaurants, souvenir shops, trees and everything.
The tour also brought us to have wine tasting experience, the place has picturesque, breathtaking and best spot to see Santorini from up. The wine taste was average, I prefer Italian wine though.

Overall, everything was wonderful when I visited Santorini, for sure want to return sometime

We took the tour at 11.30 am and no where it was mentioned that it would end by 9 pm. So we missed a couple of places as we had a flight to catch. The tour guide was very boring and she did not give any information on the day's itinerary. Also she took us to the beach right in middle of noon with scorching sun. It could have been done better by taking us to the museum later.

The full day tour is a great way to see the island if you have limited time. Katy our guide was awesome and so knowledgeable. The Akrotiri tour is extensive and Katy definitely knows her stuff. Cost of entry €12 is on top of the tour price.
Next stop was Perissa Beach for lunch (at own cost) and free time to wander. We were taken to Aquarius to eat and I thought the food was great and very reasonably priced.
Then on to the gorgeous traditional village of Megalohori. Wish we had more time here as there was no time to wander the streets on our own. We stayed together as a group the whole time. I would have preferred shaving off 20 mins from the Perissa stop and adding this to exploring Megalohori.
Next a brief stop at the top of Profitis Ilias for some photos and then on to Santo Wines, which has the most stunning views.
Then you can choose to go to Oia for sunset or be dropped back at your accommodation. I headed home after the winery, but if you continue on to Oia it is without a guide. The bus driver drops you off and then picks you up after the sunset.
Overall, a great tour to get a feel for the island.

Out of our 2 day stay at Santorini, we preferred to spend 1 day in this tour. Given the case that we do not drive and public transport is very very limited on the island to cover places of interest, in short time - we pretty much liked this Tour. Tour covers major attractions, with enough breaks to have your own picture shoots at each spot. Our Tour guide was a very informative mid-aged lady with great sense of humor that kept the whole group entertained all throughout the day. Best part of the tour was - option for individual to choose either Red Beach or Akrotiri archaeological site, depending on one's own interest. We choose Red Beach with approx 90 mins free to explore on our own. Tour recommended restaurant Aquarius for lunch at Perissa beach also turned out to be great food at low prices!

Highly recommended option to explore the island if you do not drive car/bike.

VERY IMPORTANT: Be at designated meeting place before time, as the operators are very punctual and would leave sharp on schedule.
