Full of hidden coves and snorkeling spots, Santorini’s gorgeous coastline is best seen from the water. This catamaran cruise takes you to a series of beaches and landmarks that can only be reached by boat, with time to soak in the island’s volcanic hot springs, too. Plus, with two tour times to choose from and round-trip transport, food, and snorkeling gear all included, this tour is extremely convenient for any traveler wanting to add it to their itinerary.

I surprised my husband with this cooking class to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It ended up being a wonderful surprise for me too, because he does love to cook but I do not, and both of us loved the experience! Even though Chef George has taught these same dishes many times, he has a natural ability and passion for what he does. He makes one travels through taste and smell with his happy memories of his grandma delicious and festive Greek dishes. George and his wife were able to create a place where you can learn to cook some Greek dishes, learn cooking tips, a clean, friendly, safe and yes a happy place! The cost is fair, as the best ingredients are used. All you have to take with you is a good attitude, a smile (even if it is behind the mask), willingness to learn, willingness to taste delicious dishes that with the careful guide of Chef George will help you prepare... and we cannot forget the kitchen helper Billy, super friendly, super helpful, knows how to proper handle the food and all the procedures in place. We want to do it all over again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking course and learned a lot not only about Greek cooking, but other excellent cooking tips. Giorgio was an excellent teacher and very entertaining about life in Greece. We especially loved that, while cooking, he channeled his grandmother, Petra, who the cooking school is named after. Due to covid restrictions we had a private class, which was fabulous, as were able to ask all our questions and get all the attention! We both loved that when you enter the kitchen there is a small stove there, which is what Giorgio learned to cook on.

First, let me say that if the only thing this class provided was the meal you get to eat at the end, that would make it almost worth it in itself as it absolutely blew our minds. If you don’t want to read this novel of a review, stop here and know: do this class, you (and your tastebuds) won’t regret it. Ok to start, the food was incredible. And yes, we technically made it ourselves, but it was enhanced by the obvious diligence taken by George to ensure the highest quality. But beyond the meal itself, George went above and beyond to make us feel at home, like we were cooking with a lifelong friend letting us in on his grandmother’s secret recipes. The portions were generous and the conversation flowed almost as easily as the wine (which never stopped). Every minute we spent with George (and his wonderful assistant Billy) was a minute well spent, and one we’ll never forget. Everything felt so authentic and every detail was so well taken care of that we forgot we were paying for an experience and started feeling like we had just showed up at an old friend’s for dinner and drinks. It was truly exquisite. In one of the most beautiful places in the world, on a trip of a lifetime full of wonderful people and delicious food, the three hours we spent at Petra undoubtedly jumped to the top of the list for most memorable and enjoyable of any experience we had. We’d do it again in a heartbeat and would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone, from people who never cook to amateur Gordon Ramsays. Thank you, George, for welcoming us to your beautiful workspace, giving us an unforgettable experience, and equipping is with the necessary skills to bring a little bit of Greece back home for friends & family.

An amazing evening learning to cook Greek classics the real way! Both hosts were really welcoming and it is a real foodie experience far away from all the touristy gimmicks, this is a real Greek experience with amazing hospitality. We truly felt welcomed into their beautiful home and learned to cook some great food that we will be trying to recreate many times back home. Thanks for a great evening!

We first visited George and Paula in Summer 2018 and can't explain how wonderful the experience was. The setting was beautiful and accommodating, the food was exceptional, we learned fun recipes and cooking tips. This experience alone is worth traveling to Santorini, and that is saying a lot given all there is to do and see. This was the highlight of our trip to Greece, and has inspired us to cook more at home and try other cooking classes when we travel. Of similar classes in France and Italy, this was by far the best. In August 2020 we joined Paula and George again with their new virtual private class and it did not disappoint. Of course nothing can beat the in-person experience, but this was a fantastic way to try their other recipes, and share the experience with family and friends who have heard us say so much about our visit there. We still felt the same personal touch, and had great food and lots of fun. Returning customers should give this a try, and new customers should learn all that Petra Kouzina has to offer. Can't recommend this enough!

Kyle, Wou! From the bottom of our hearts thank you very much for your words. We honestly loved to have you back in our home, in a virtual way this time, and meet your family for having a great time cooking. Also it was amazing to hear that Petra Kouzina have been present around your kitchen with you exploring in new recipes. We will meet again online, let us know when you want to join us for another class and also, when you are able to visit us again! Love to all of you.
