Despite being the largest beach on the island Koukounaries doesn’t feel particularly crowded or loud, and the swimming is absolutely fantastic. Soft white sand and clear turquoise waters, calm even when there is a lovely breeze. The sunbeds are the same price as most beaches at €10 per pair but unlike most they are really padded and comfortable. Highly recommend heading there early and getting beds near the middle, as it stays quieter longer.

If you get there early in the morning to watch the sunrise and savour the silence, just the gentle lapping of the sea it’s beautiful. After ten o clock all hell breaks loose, loud repetitive music, people everywhere. Beds are comfy 10 euros for the day but cramped together. There are toilet facilities and a beach bar which serves pre packed food. It works out to be a quite expensive day. Be prepared to leave with a headache.

This is a large beautiful beach with watersport, food and drinks available etc. Lounges cost around 10 euros for the day. Don't just stick to the beach though, there is a wonderful restaurant cookoonari, a great atmosphere, relaxed food and the best cheesecake.
The local supermarket has juice (Robinson) the only place we found for it.
The local bus was only 2 euros each to get all the way back to the town, it can get quite full but so worth it.

Gorgeous Beach, crystal clear waters. Plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Really nice vibe! Prices depend on which row your bed is on €15 for 2 x umbrella near front and €10 for rows behind. All worth it! Plenty of bars for food and drink. 25 minutes on public bus from Skiathos Town - bus stop #26 - €4 return!!! Or take the water taxi back to Skiathos Town, this operates from near the water sports. We had a really lovely time and we will definitely go back next time.

What most of my Americans compatriots expect is the same level of service we expect for what we pay back home.
Here, after covid businesses are understaffed and workers are not slaves to the buck like home.
One must be patient for service and enjoy the beach, that is clean because there’s no entrance fee, but if you want an umbrella and beach chairs, it’ll cost you 10 euros for the day.
The smart bar is the andaluz bar, because they let you move chairs, and acomódate large groups, the one further up Barracuda lost our business because they refuse to put tables to accommodate us…see?, you try a different place and it works…..again, be patient and take the language difficulties and culture difference with a grain of salt

Of course it is a beautiful beach (which one is not in skiathos), but it is full of tourists, with boats that arrive there also. There is no place to put your towell in the sand so you are almost forced to pay for an umbrella and hammocks (10€).
There is also the possibility to rent a motorwater (30€ for 10min) or other water sports like jet sky…
In our opinion, in esporades islands there are lots of other amazing beachws better than this one.
There are several beach bars, not too expensive.

Great long, busy, beautiful beach with all that is needed - except quiet.
This is the longest beach in Skiathos that you can reach by car, bus (end station) or boat from the Old port (Capetan Nicolos - 6 euro for adults, 3 euros for children).
There are some spots between all the umbrellas (10 euros for one umbrella and two loungers) for the ones bringing their own umbrella and there are some beach bars/restaurants. There is also watersports, a small marina and at the very end of the beach the Elivi hotel has a beach bar with umbrellas and cabanas for rent even for non hotel guests. (20 euro for one umbrella and two loungers). There are also showers, changing rooms and a small playground.
The wanter is clear and the sand is wonderful. Close by you also have Ambelakia beach, Big Banana beach and Small Banana beach (nudist).

By far the worst Skiathos beach. Far cry from relaxing beach although the beach is nice, wide long stretch, tree-fringed, with some shade but too buy and crowded even mid June. I do not mind music on the beach but expect some really loud music. The sandy beach with shallow access into the sea and clear water is perfect for families with kids. The beach crowded with people, sunbeds (10€) and you will find the beach packed with kids. Water sport kiosk, diving center, changing rooms, showers available and couple of taverns/bars – cocktails 13€, coffee from 3.50€, beers from 5€, Greek salad 9.50€.

To get here gat off at the last bus stop 26, take a 6€ boat to/from Skiathos town or car.

I visited that beach last week during my stay in Skiathos island. There is a long place surrounded by pine trees, about one mile, a lot of sunbeds and umbrelas, a few bars. Very nice place to spend your holiday catching tan. There is a bus from Skiathos harbour to Koukounaries beach, not expensive, 2 euros from start to the end.

Sandy nice but could be less crowded and with nicer restaurants and overall nicer chairs and bara. Food at the beach expensive and fast touristy snacks (sandwitch amd potato chips) you need to walk a bit towards bus stop 26 for better food. Nice for families and kids
