31 reviews
Nobody wants to waste vacation time waiting outside an attraction, especially in high temperatures. With this priority-access ticket to the Knossos archaeological site, you can breeze past ticket-purchase lines to explore what was the birthplace of Minoan civilization and according to myth, the seat of King Minos. It's such a shame that they have not been preserved. In fact you could miss them if you had not got local information of the area. Its is certainly not marked up from the road side.

As i mentioned in the title, dont go out of your way unless its 10 minutes or so, but if you drive by definitely stop. Bigger than i expected and it was cool to see the stairs. Nice place to stretch legs and take a few photos, there was a beach not far but we didnt check it out.

Minoan Water Tanks are placed near hotel You need to drive on east11 km from Ierapetra to the hotel Kakkos Bay. Go in front of the hotel and turn right down to the parking near hotel. From the parking you will find rocky hill. you need climb there and just after you will find the tank. Take it ease because there isn't build any way or path. I went there with kids however everybody need to take care about them - it could be dangerous for kids without adult assistant.
