31 reviews
Nobody wants to waste vacation time waiting outside an attraction, especially in high temperatures. With this priority-access ticket to the Knossos archaeological site, you can breeze past ticket-purchase lines to explore what was the birthplace of Minoan civilization and according to myth, the seat of King Minos. Prebook your skip-the-line ticket, travel independently to the site, and roam the partially restored relics of Minos’ palace and courtyards independently.

This is one of the times where I wished that there was a choice between average and very good - the Aquarium is definitely better than average, but not very good (in my opinion of course). If you like aquariums (like I do), I would definitely visit. But I wouldnt go out of your way to do so. Maybe I expected too much, because in the guide book I had it sounded really amazing. The aquarium is quite small, but the exhibits are well presented, and everything is clean and well maintained. I enjoyed my visit there.

You don't need to buy a ticket in advance, you can just come to the aquarium and buy a ticket there. It is a small aquarium so don't expect to spend hours inside. the exhibits were nice and clean. You have to wear a face mask during your visit. and sometimes it feels impossible to keep the social distance. We still had fun.

Thank you for your visit. Our aquarium includes 61 reservoirs seeking to give a representative picture of the biodiversity of the Mediterranean. For this reason, the emphasis is not on size but on the variety and qualitative approach of the organizations. Finally, the conditions of this summer forced us to make several changes in our space in order to keep our staff and guests safe and healthy and fortunately this is something we have achieved so far. We hope you enjoy our aquarium in better health conditions worldwide.

Their exhibits are extremely well-maintained and cleaned, and they have done a brilliant job creating a relaxing atmosphere for their visitors. The background music was calming and soothing. This is a much nicer experience compared to my recent experience with Sealife Brighton (their tanks were filthy) and Malta National Aquarium (smaller in comparison). Most visitors seemed to enjoy the shark tank which a lot of selfies were taken there. The sea creatures, corals and anemones look amazingly healthy, and you can take a lot of fantastic photos there because the lighting inside is very sufficient for you to capture the colors. I hope they find a way to expand their aquarium because they have done an awesome job!!!

A nice aquarium with a great variety of sea life specimens. Children will enjoy the tour, especially the big tank with the sarks. Worth every minute you spend there.

Considering how far we had to travel from Heraklion center to get to the aquarium, we were quite disappointed in the experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was great. We first did the virtual reality experience, which was definitely the highlight of the trip, especially for only €3 per person. Afterwards, we spent very little time in the aquarium. Granted, we are two adults and this is probably better for children, but it’s mainly small fish and just not a lot to look at. We were quite underwhelmed.
