A very unnderrated beautiful beach! Wow... where to start? Kilometers of fluffy sand with beautiful turquoise waters, feels actually nicer than Elafosini because the sand here is softer, and nicer! It also has really amazing clear visibility underwater - great for snorkeling! There's also actually a shipwreck at the very end of the beach (Near Ancient Falassarna). And it's easily... More

We visited Falasarna beach only to admire the sunset as we had been informed that Falasarna beach has the most beautiful sunset in Crete. The sunset was indeed magical and romantic! Unfortunately we did not have time to swim there..

We were there at the end of April. I thought that we will be almost lonely at the beach and that there will be nothing to do, but there were plenty of tourists, enjoying the beach and its sand with the sculptures. Also the water is so shallow, that the temperature was for swimming… So we swam we did visit... More

We ended up in Falassarna Big Beach (there are also Falassarna Small and other small beaches around). Although it was just another day at the beach while on Crete, the trip was nice and the sand was fine. Also, because of the waves, the sand was higher on the water front. On the main beach there is one snack bar... More

I've been in this beautiful place last summer, it's a very well equipped area and has a very relaxing beach zone. It's not really indicated for family with small babies since it' usually quite windy and as a consequence it's not easy to take a funny bath, due to many waves. Anyway, it remains one of MUST to visit, in... More

The port of Falassarna was in 'Roman times the base of the Macedonian pirates who infested the western Mediterranean. In the year 67 A.D. Roman legions destroyed the naval base of pirates. The city of Falassarna was then completely destroyed by a terrible earthquake in about 653 A.D.   Today the walls of the port due to movement of the... More

This is a great quiet and peaceful beach on the west cost of Crete (one of few), with very good clean sand and sea water, good restaurant near by, and good beach bars. The sun beds are a little bit more expensive than the other beaches in Crete, but you pay a price for the amazing sunset view you get... More

Falassarna Beach is a long open ocean beach with lots of waves so good for surfing. It is split in to several sandy coves such and Big Beach. Enjoy the Tavern and beach bars near by.

Kilometers long and wide sandy beach with crystal clear water. Very easy to be reached. Falassarna beach is located on the left side of Balos lagoon and both a separated from the mountain. The beach offers great views and comfort, as it is sooo spacious! For all people who love waves - go on a bit windy day and you... More
