The most clear turquoise water I have ever seen in my life. A must visit if you are in west Crete. Definitely in top 10 of the best beaches in Greece.

Beach and water are unbeatable. Clean, white sand. Few people, great drink and good service directly delivered to the beach.

We travelled here by public transport from Kissamos and had a short and easy journey. It was well worth the effort as the beach was lovely and there were plenty of tavernas to choose from for a meal. We had a lovely lunch and sunbathed...More

The local name for the main beach is as in title. Very nice beach with dunes at the left end. At the right end nudist area. Very good place for spending a beach day. Recommend definitely.

We actually went to see the ancient city of Falassarna, but it was rather hard to find (not well marked, a long and dusty road). The beach itself was rather okay, but I'd say not worth a long drive. The same goes for the ancient...More

What are the facilities like at the beach? Are there many options for food/snacks? Is it as windy as people say? Do they have lifeguards?

Yes, there are some facilities like food market or a bar, but not as many as on a typical beach. It is windy compared to other places, but it doesn't always result in high waves. Lifeguards are at the 'main', center part of... More
