We had a really nice experience and a fun day! The host is super friendly and the island tour shows some beautiful small beaches to discover.

This was number one on my to do list for my visit to chalkidiki. And it didn’t dissappoint. It was as amazing as I expected. It was a surprising long drive from our hotel near gerakini. Around 1 hour. We arrived at 9:30. Don’t forget to brings drinks, food, towels, sunblock, sunglasses and bt speaker. I chose swim drive because it was so centrally located to diaspora island and the many good reviews. Communication online was swift and patient. Tbh it was quite an intimidating adventure to me. When we arrive we paid and signed some papers. We got clear instructions about the boat and where to drive. I have almost zero experience boating especially on the sea.also how to use the boat and safeguarding its propellor. It turns out they have a special permission around diaspora island for 30hp speedboats to be driven by unlicensed boaters. But it’s still not without danger. The sea was calm, but some area has shallow rocky waters. So important to be careful and it should be fine. Great advice was that from the water it looks different and that’s true. Luckily I had my mobile with google maps. When it worked it helped me out navigating. Just using the map was not so easy. We got a cool box with cooling elements and a few bottles of water. But good idea to bring your lunch and extra drinks with you. Because it was September there was no beach clubs there and for lunch we needed to head to a harbor. We didn’t do that because we already bought some sandwiches with us. This is such a cool experience on so many levels. First you get the chance the drive a speedboat yourself. 30hp is plenty fast for a beginner. 30 minutes you can circumnavigate the island. But of course it’s not speed, but it’s about finding and exploring all the small coves and beaches enjoying the sunshine and mesmerizing azure blue sea. There are so many beaches of all kinds that you will find one that suits you. Our favorite was called olive beAch. We could sit underneath the shade of an olive tree. It felt like we were in the Seychelles or Caribbean. Our boats fits 6, but we were 2. Tbh 6 will be a tight fit. Than you can only relax when you are on a beach. We got an older boat and it was not so easy to climb onboard and I thought we would be able to listen to our Spotify via the speakers of the boat. But that was not the case. Lucky we had our own speaker. What I missed in the instructions was that we need to take care of our trash. Make sure that we take all our trash back with us. So that all can stay pristine as long as possible. It was simply an amazing experience that you must do once in your lifetime and if you have the chance do it agin and again, The price is truly amazing. Boat rental was 100€ for a full day and gas was about 35€. I love it so much...this experience made my holiday to chalkidiki truly unforgettable.

We have rented a 30hp boat. Licence is not needed. After a very good familiarisation with boat and area by their staff we had wonderful hours on the water. We will come back. For sure.

We have just returned from Ikos Olivia and whilst there we went on their recommendation to hire a boat and skipper with Dream Swim. We went a couple of days following the storm that hit Southern Greece and the sea was a bit choppy with a strong breeze. We discussed with the staff at Dream Swim and we decided to go out. This was the best decision we made. Yes, it was a tad wet initially and we got soaked but once we got into the lee of the island the sun came out and for the rest of the trip it was perfect We stopped off at some deserted beaches and swam in the blue warm sea. The skipper (Iannis - hope I got the right spelling!) who took us outwas really good company and very knowledgable. Overall a really good half day and one that I would recommend and would certainly do again if we visit the area in the future
