Hello my Name is Vladimir.
The village train is a must visit! With the attached store where they sell the best eu de parfum is also a must visit, with your village train ticket you get a 10% discount in the store, they also sell other beautiful product as shoes hats jewelry and many more.
With the owner Dimitris ( i hope i wrote the name right😁) and his wife i unfortunately forgot the name of. They run a good business and are very kind and they speek good English as well! They also have a very cute and helpful assistent on the village train Angela ( but call her angel because she is one👼!).
My tip for the train is buy the 8 euro (p.p) ticket with that you can hop on and off the train during the day at the designated stops. The tickets can be bought at the train on designated points.

used the hop on hop off at 8 euro's to get up and visit Molivos Castle and also to visit Petra. Angela was good at giving a commentary on the journey of local points of interest and on emphasizing the latest return time pick ups. In the heat, its a great way to get around and something a little different. Highly recommend it

Best way to explore Petra and neighbouring towns. The hop on/hop off all day was only 9 euros and absolutely worth the ride up to the castle for views. Even if you just do a single round trip for 6 euros it is 1.5 hours of lovely sightseeing and entertainment!

Arrived at the stop 20 mins early as a family of 6 with one 1 year old.
An army of other people arrived and barged in front of us like animals as we tried to get on. I had a 60 year old woman actually shove me out of the way! We were all split up and the grandparents had to get a taxi.
The lack of any system - even a sign to sort out an organise system is rubbish and ruined the experience completely.

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience at our stop, and we understand how frustrating it must have been for you and your family.
While we strive to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for all our passengers, unfortunately, we cannot always control the behavior of other individuals during boarding. We appreciate your suggestion regarding clearer signage or a more organized system, and we will certainly consider ways to improve the process moving forward.
We sincerely apologize that your family’s experience was affected in this way. We hope you might give VillageTrain another chance in the future so that we can provide you with the pleasant journey we aim to deliver to all our guests.
Best regards,
The VillageTrain Team

A "no brainer" ..anyone who needs to get around in the vicinity of Petra/Molyvos should take up their offer.
Hop on, hop off avoid the difficult driving conditions, narrow streets and parking problems with Village Train.
Have fun on board, listen to Angela descibe the local sites while watching the driver Thanasis clear the path of oncoming traffic and boogie to Greek pop music.
The family of 8.

Nice ride across Molyvos and Petra in a short period. Get an unlimited pass to hop on and off for the entire day. We got off at Petra square for a nice lunch at a restaurant ran by women. After we went up to see the small iconic church which also provides a nice view over Petra. Petra has a cozy small street with small shops worth a visit. Around 16:00 we took the train back to Molyvos.
Definitely worth for a day tour and kids love it(we traveled with a 1 1/5 year old). You won’t need your car when you plan this trip, so perhaps skip renting it for a day and just take a taxi (which is 5 euros from Meraki hotel if you stay there).

A delightful experience for all ages. The little train of Molyvos takes you from Molyvos to Anaxos and back on a hop on hop off train going through Petra and to the castle en route. The ticket lady also tells you interesting facts as you go along. Very good value. Would highly recommend.

Great way to get from Petra to Molyvos. Nice scenic route with a bit of tour guide narrative thrown in. Domitri is the driver and Angel (I think) provides big smiles and the tourist information. If you want to visit the castle you have to get the earlier trips as the castle closes at 3.30pm.

We had seen the train many times and our 3 children were really excited to have a trip. We were down by the harbour as the train pulled in I enquired with the young lady in the front as to how much it was. I told my husband we grabbed our bag and began to put the children in the rear carriage. Just as our first child had sat down another man approached and began speaking Greek I assume to the lady, we didn’t understand and then the lady stopped my husband assisting the children on and said we’d have to get off as the other man needed to sit in the rear carriage. My husband asked why she responded he had 7 people, we were a family of 5 but she asked to split us between 2 carriages. We politely refused and took our children off the train our youngest 3yr old was devastated. It’s ridiculous

We did this little a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. 8 euros for an uimited day ticket. Picked up from petra by the football pitch and took us all along the coast to molyvos. Amazing scenery and great commentary telling you facts about the area. Interspersed with some Greek music to get you in the mood. I just can't describe how good the scenery is.
A little tip. Don't get off at the first molyvos stop. Wait until you get upto the castle. That way you can mooch around the castle and then take a gentle meander down the cobbled streets , through the shops/stalls and end up in the harbour for lunch.
Perfect day.

Can I take the train from Moiyvos harbor to the ticket point and then buy a ticket at the ticket point? I'd prefer to not have to walk to the ticket point to get the ticket point. Possible to buy there?
