Good view of Curral das Freiras, free and easy to get there by car. You get to see the whole village from the top

We went here with UMM jeep and it was a really nice 20minutes spent here, relaxing, wonderful and quiet.

Off the beaten path, but nice views with a little trail. The place was deserted when we arrived, so it was quiet, but you can tell it is not as meticulously maintained as some of the other miradouros we visited.

Visit here as partv of a jeep tour. The access roads were steep and winding but the view was extraordinary. Some clouds only enhanced the atmosphere.

After a tricky, steep and winding road up to the viewpoint we were amazed by the display. You have an even better view over the Valley of the Nuns than at Eira do Serrado.

we went there as the clouds were closing in - which made the view only more spectacular. One looks across the valley to Churral dos Freires, which feels somewhat surprising, given the road journey.

Yet another place to marvel at Madeira's mountainous magnificence. Good walks and great views. But you wonder how people can cope with such rarified remoteness every day.

Good views if weather clear . Fantastic drive up to the top . Lot of plants trees of various sizes shapes on the way up and colours can be spectacular.

Camara do lobos is where the Santa Maria was built. Enjoy the view an then go down to the town. Buses run to Funchal

A Miradouro dedicated to boyfriends and girlfriends. Beautiful, even though, to be truthfully honest, just another one :) If you have to opt, you can leave this behind.
