Dear Friend,
Thank you for your visit and your feedback. We're sorry you were unlucky not to see Whales :/
We understand how it may be frustrating, however we can only allow our boats to go out when favorable weather and safety conditions are met, and chances to see animals are acceptable. It is the sustainable thing to do when fuel consumption is involved, which I hope you can understand.
Our transfer is available at the cost of approx. €8, depending on your accommodation location.
Although in the Azores Islands there are 4 resident cetacean species (including Sperm Whales), and 20 more (up to a third of the world's known) passing by throughout the year, unfortunately, as in any wildlife tour, it is not possible to guarantee that we will see specifically Whales, or any specific species at a specific time frame. We only go out when there is good chance for sightings, but even with fast Zodiac boats and our Whale lookouts placed high inland, our friends move fast and it is not uncommon for them to dive and disappear into the deep Ocean.
However, we do understand how it can be frustrating to have your tour cancelled with no available alternative abd we're always looking towards improvement. We do offer alternatives, but for logistic reasons it was not possible to provide. We will look into this matter to ensure alternatives are provided.
We hope you can understand this reasoning and verify the reviews and comments from other visitors, to revise your review to a higher star rating for our service quality.
We wish you can come back for another tour, hopefully with better luck :)
