The environment was cool but unfortunately we only spotted dolphins. The team spotted the activity of a whale and we went to the area but we only stayed there for 3 minutes and so we didn't actually spot them. So it looked as if they didn't try hard enough and didn't have the patience to look for the whales. Instead they only showed us dolphins that is the "easy" solution and then did a tour to a nearby small island. Disappointed.

Hi there, I liked the Whaling trip very much! We saw lots of Common Dolphins and the back of a blue whale. The boat trip was very exiting we went far off the coast and had great views on Sao Miguel and Santa Maria from a Distance. Although I liked it, I thougt the ride was very long and tiring and we were not as lucky too see much from the blue whale..which I dont expect but I think I would have enjoyed it more to stay closer to the coast and see more of the Dolphins which was great already to see them. Also some more insight information about their behaviour, abilities and general knowldge about Whales and Dolphins in the Azores would have been interesting. Anyhow the tour was great would recommend ! Best Roland

The guides (Vanessa and ?) were friendly and knowledgeable, and even introduced us to the lookout. Unfortunately, we didn't see whales, only dolphins, but not for lack of trying on the part of the guides. Those whales just don't always surface when you want, but the dolphins were fun! This was a rescheduled day due to weather conditions, and we found them to be very flexible with our options of ways to reschedule both halves of the tour. Lunch between the tours was fresh fish served at a restaurant right there at the harbor and was more than we could possibly eat! When we went to Lagoa do Fogo it was very foggy, but Lorenzo brought us further down the mountain to a spot a bit below the fog. The visit to the springs was great on a cool, drizzly day, and the waterfall at the end was beautiful. Lorenzo knew exactly where we needed to look to see the whole thing. It's true we were a little disappointed not to see a whale, but the company still gets 5 stars for their efforts to provide the best tour possible. No one can control the weather or tge animals, but we still enjoyed every minute!
