We have travelled from the UK far to find beaches like this and here a short flight to Portugal we have the most beautiful, clean beach we have seen in years. It has been awarded Blue Flag recognition for its clean clear water, pollution free with soft golden sands. People were enjoying surfing and locals were fishing off the beach for bass. Access to beach from cliffs is via wooden stairs, disabled access could be an issue. Cafe at the car park area is reasonable and served good coffee with seating in a nice sun spot. A short walk to lovalmrestaurants.

It's a gorgeous beach, but not easily accessible to the disabled.
Miles of gorgeous sand and fewer people than the neighbouring main Vilamoura beach. Gorgeous restaurant, if a bit pricey on the beach. We stayed on a nearby site, Aldeia do Golf, so we walked and when we left we ended up eating at a gorgeous little cafe (and I am annoyed I can't remember the name!) which was about five minutes walk from the beach. We had charred sardines which were just perfect.

Here’s another reason why I love the Algarve! Praia da Falesia is a class on its own, with a long, fine and clean sandy beach, several kilometres long, and the breathtaking orange, ochre and chalk white cliffs that have been eroded over millennia. Some portions of the cliffs have been naturally moulded into columns, giving one a feeling that this must be another planet.

Words cannot fully describe the awesomeness of this place. All I felt that day was deepest gratitude for being witness to Mother Nature’s work of art, to the Creator of all this beauty.

Absolutely fabulous walking from Vilamoura down to Praia do Barranco das Belharucas where there is a fabulous beach restaurant Un spoilt cliff walks, no health and safety just common sense. Views and formations are incredible. Make sure you have water and sun cream as there are long sections where there is nothing. Best coastal walk i've had!

What's the story with the sunbeds here? Fabulous beach but we are told the sunbeds are all reserved for one week or two weeks so there were no sunbeds available today even though half the sunbeds were empty. Very disappointing for tourists who travelled for some sun during covid restrictions. Is this a covid measure or what? I would have thought the previous system where maybe some beds were reserved but not all of them and then it was first come, first served was a fairer approach? I also didn't see any cleaning of beds which was very active in the beach restaurants.

Falesia beach is simply stunning. One of the best beaches in the Algarve. Miles of powdery white sand with the stunning red cliffs in the background.
We were staying in Vilamoura and on a lovely sunny day decided to walk along the beach to Olhos de Agua. It took around 90 minutes and is a popular walk for both holidaymakers and locals.

This beach is amazing and caters for everybody.
It's big, clean, nice sand, when tide goes out it's so massive that even with lots of people you wotn have anyone near so perfect for privacy. It's great for kids, safe to play with water and amazing rock pools with little pools to swim on too. It has got toilets and two beach restaurants spaced out from one another.

Another great beach in Portugal, very clean and quiet due to the time of year.
Warning beware of the tide and getting stranded, there were people swimming though.
Dogs are allowed but again it may be the time of year.

Great views, huge long wide shallow beach ideal for toddlers. Large parasol and two loungers was €18 for the day. Off road Car park is just up the hill from the wooden steps down to the beach. If that car park is full there’s a paved car park adjacent to it so just drove round the block to get there and walk through the other one.

Lovely long sandy beach. It can get very busy and crowded in some places but as long as you are happy to stretch your legs and walk a bit you can find peaceful quiet stretches. At various points along the beach there are the usual beach lounger operations and also water sports
