If you prefer a long beach for a romantic walk, this beach is a great choice. But we prefer secluded beaches so Praia da Marinha was our favourite beach in the Algarve (see our other review). The rock formation here is incredible. It reminds us of Cappadocia, Turkey, but on a beach. The sand is perfect - soft and fine.... More

Just returned from a lovely week in the Algarve and visited this stunning, white sandy beach three times. You can walk from the marina in Vilmoura which is roughly 10-15 mins max or there is a car park at the other end. A place that must be visited whilst in Portugal.

An amazing beach reached by a load of steps. You can hire sunbeds on the beach but that is all. There are no toilets and no bar/cafe. Lots of space for children to play

There is too much hip for this beach. Not for family with young children. There is not enough parking space. I think that there are better beaches in the area.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable day at this magnificent beach and would fully recommend a visit if staying in the area. Also the walk along the beach to villamoura is worth the effort.

Wonderful beach, not easy to access via a very steep road but worth every step! The sea water is so perfect, the beach, even when crowded, is worth a million other places. Sorry I have told you this as that is one parking space less for me!

We were staying in portobay Falesia hotel and the beach attached to that was lovely. Clean toilets and you can pay to lie under the canopies for the day.
