Lovely beach but access is down the cliff, there are several lifts and steps via various hotels though

lovely clean beach. Good for families although the beach seems quite steep in places. Good cafe/ restaurant at side of beach. Beautiful shells.

Lovely, long golden sandy beach with refreshments, beds and sunshades. You can walk 2/3 miles along the sands.

Stunning, unspoilt beach. 275 steps down (and up) but amazing views, plenty of rest spots and seats made the walk pleasant. The steps are shady and well paced.

There are sharks in the Algarve in Portugal but no incident or shark attacks have ever been reported. Just apply caution but I searched on the net and NO incident or attacks have been reported. For me the water is too... More

The nearby Falesia beach is miles long and very deep when tide is out so there should be plenty of room, although we haven't been in August. Albufeira is much more crowded anyway, even out of season. Hotel has shuttle bus... More
