- BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia17,513 contributionsAmazing beach but the jelly fishThe Mikri Vigla counts as one of the best Naxos beaches and it certainly is. Water is crystal clear, turquoise and shallow. There're plenty of bars to rent sunbeds for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, at the beginning of September there were many jelly fish which was quite unusual according to the locals, so they spoilt our impression.Visited September 2021Written November 21, 2021
- Caroline GSanta Monica, California30 contributionsBeach fabulous taverna on beach the Mikri Vigla fantastic sun beds too expensiveFabulous beach loved it and the tavernas …. But I thought the sun beds were expensive I find they usually charge 20 euros for two beds together or 10 if you are on your own here they charge 20 per bed 40 for two of you and if you come snd only take one bed they ask for 40 !! Thought that was expensive but all else fabulous the Mikri Vigla taverna is a must !! We went there four out our five evenings and beach beautiful !!! Turquoise and so so clear yiu could see the fishVisited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 8, 2023
- sandy cytrayProvince of Rome, Italy3 contributionskite loversLike all Naxian beaches Vigla is amazing although too crowded in Augast...It's a beach for surfers and kite lovers because of the waves....So do not expect waters like Agios Prokopios .... But it's worth visiting because of its wild beautyVisited August 2021Written August 12, 2021
- Nikolaos PAthens, Greece16 contributionsSo unique!!!After visiting almost all beaches in Naxos, we are certain this is the best. It’s a place to relax and enjoy swimming. We booked Naxian Breeze rooms. The noise from nearby construction was unbearable....until we found this little paradise! - ShellyakiroffNewmarket, Canada35 contributionsDon’t Miss This BeachOne of the best beaches in Naxos. About 25 min drive down the coast from the main town. Drive is beautiful along the coast and through the local villages. Lots of places to stop and enjoy the water and scenery. Mikri Vigla was beautiful with lots of chairs and amenities if needed (7 euros for 2). The beach goes for miles and swimming is awesome. Water is deep enough to enjoy with some waves to make it fun. You see Catamarans stop by off the coast and have people enjoy the beautiful blue waters. There is one taverna on the beach that has everything you could want. Lunch doesn’t start til 1pm but it opens earlier for drinks and coffees. Great day at Mikri Vigla beach.Visited September 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten September 24, 2021

- Johnsid1Los Angeles, California58 contributionsOne of the best beaches in NaxosNaxos has many nice beaches but this one is tops. Mikri Viglia is on the south west side of Naxos (just further south from Plaka beach). This part of the island is more rural and you'll find quite a few dirt roads which give you access to the beaches. Don't be concerned about the road conditions. They're perfectly fine. There are a number of beaches in the area and you can swim wherever you like. On one side of the bay where the wind is in full force you'll find many doing parasailing and windsurfing. The other side of side of the bay which is further south is completely protected from the wind and the waters are very calm. The water is crystal clear with different shades of aqua and blue. The sand is fine and clean. There are chairs and umbrella services and the Taverna named after the beach Mikri Vigla Restaurant offers great food. The beach also offers a couple of small coves and interesting rock formations from which to jump off into the aqua water. Enjoy!Visited September 2018Written October 4, 2018

The bus timetable varies throughout the season. When we went (Sept 23) the first bus was 11am and the last return 5.30pm, check before you leave you have to pre purchase your tickets from the kiosk at the port, Best buy return tickets at the same time. The beach is excellent, with a good taverna and beds 5 euro for 2 + umbrella.Visited September 2015Traveled with familyWritten September 23, 2015
- Anouchka43London, United Kingdom52 contributionsA clean, protected beachThis is our favourite place to swim in Naxos. The beach is in a charming cove so that it is possible to have a proper swim rather than exercise jumping waves. The shallows are long enough to make it safe for young families and the walk from this beach to Kastraki is breathtakingly beautiful. I hesitate to review this because I would hate to see the privacy and purity of it all spoiled by trampling hordes but it would be ungenerous not to give credit where credit is due.Visited September 2015Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2015
- bluebell98Marion, Massachusetts294 contributionsWindy day beach funIt’s been extremely windy this week here. We found that if you go to the far end of this beach by the rocks, the wind is tolerable. Pretty rock formations make for interesting snorkeling, rock jumping and act as a wind break. Very pretty beach.Visited August 2019Traveled with familyWritten August 31, 2019

In Naxos and visited several beaches. This is by far the cleanest beach with very clear water. Along the beach, one could get a set of 2 sun beds with umbrella from any of the hotels, cafes or beach club there. We got the sun beds at €8 for a set at Vera Club Resort and you could get 2 pool towels from them and able to use their shower facility. It is beside Thalasea Surf Beach Bar Restaurant.

In a sense, this is a continuation of the Kastraki beach, but if we can say that Kastraki beach is very good, this last part of the beach (approx the last 2 km, before the Mikri Vigla) is absolutely superb, with its almost white and fine sand, christal clear sea water and not so, so many people. There are a few organized sun umbrellas and even a small beach tavern. This beach is just meant for a perfect relax!

It has a big hilly rock which shelters it from the winds, the waters are crystal and there is only one crop of umbrellas which makes it feel select. Local Greeks seem to use it a lot too which suggests that it is one of the best on the island.

Hi there, wondering about this particular beach, and how calm the water is. I know it's not perfectly predictable, but we love it calm, calm and calm.

It depends on the winds, it might be calm or rough! Nevertheless its beautiful. You may also want to go to the beach further down, Parthena beach, or Liofago or Orkos beach or Plaka beach. Depends the time of the year, usually July & August we have the meltemi period winds that the surfers will for sure enjoy!

Good morning,
I’d like to enquire about the semi-private cruises you have to offer
Sunset cruise – 5 hours @ € 125 p/p
Or
Day cruise – 5 hours @ € 125 p/p
This would be for 19th September, and for 2 ladies.
It is my daughter’s birthday on the 19th , and also our last day in Santorini, so I would like to do something special for her.
Would you be able to accommodate us on the day, or can you possibly suggest another cruise?
