We can see why Trip Advisor reviews of Preveli's Palm Beach have divided opinions. Let's face it, the beach is not among the best in Crete. It's small, can be crowded and the sea is not crystal clear or even easy to swim in as...More

We took the boat trip from Plakias having heard about the dreaded descent/ascent and we were glad that we did! Lovely beach, plenty of trees for shade, nice taverna that had plenty of seating and was popular. The sea was good for swimming. The walk...More

A small but crowded beach, which is suprising as it's not easy to get there. There are some palm trees but well, those are just palm trees... Ah, and the water is extremely cold. If I had paid 40 euros for the trip here I...More

Why people rave about this beach I just cannot understand. To describe it as one of the best beaches in Crete is delusional. Just read the reviews of people who are still on planet earth. It did nothing for me simply because it had nothing.

This beach in the south of Crete has awesome views! You have to climb down some stairs and it might be difficult for elderly people but definitely worth the effort. As far as the beach is concerned it is a bit too full of people...More

I am writing this review sitting on the beach trying to gather the energy to climb back the giant mountain of slippery stones, back to the parking slot. The climb down is tedious and dangerous. The beach is not sandy. It is made of tiny...More

We had an amazing adventurous day at Preveli beach. This hidden gem of Crete is one of the top things to visit. Get the stairs down to the beach (15' hike), reserve your shadow spot under one of the beautiful trees and definitely don't miss...More
