Great place to see. We went there by car. The trip down to the beach with 2 children went smooth. And we had spectacular views. On the way back our 3 years old even went all by himself up :) Things to note - it...More

Walked down the path from the monetary area and enjoyed the views and the sound of the sea. It was a pleasant spectacular short hike. (not recommended during the summer time!). There is a little tavern at the bottom and a nice stroll up the...More

Didn't think this beach was worth the pretty awful car journey involved. It took us around 40 mins to negotiate the rough, bouldery and occasionally precipitous road to get here.Hugely underwhelming when we saw it.Grey gravelly sand, quite small and narrow, not an attractive background...More

Beautiful area, but a (worthwhile) challenge to get to. Before descending the cliffs to head to this beach, look around at the spectacular mountain and seaside scenes. The descent is over rough hewn stone steps several hundreds of feet down (but not a difficult ascent...More

Don't go there, it isn't worth it. Overcrowded dirty beach. 25 min walk from the parking lot on steep steps. Sometimes a little bit dangerous and exhausting. I van not think for a reason to go there.

We can see why Trip Advisor reviews of Preveli's Palm Beach have divided opinions. Let's face it, the beach is not among the best in Crete. It's small, can be crowded and the sea is not crystal clear or even easy to swim in as...More

We took the boat trip from Plakias having heard about the dreaded descent/ascent and we were glad that we did! Lovely beach, plenty of trees for shade, nice taverna that had plenty of seating and was popular. The sea was good for swimming. The walk...More
