Wonderful views from this historic place
This place has the most spectacular view down the west coast of Corfu and over to the east towards Corfu town and Albania. We parked in Pelekas and walked the roughly 1km up to the lookout, but there was enough parking at the top if you don’t want to walk, although there is a hotel at the top and some spaces I think are for guests. The place gets its name from Kaiser Wilhelm II and the hotel has several royal connections- Prince Philip was born on the dining room table! We got there for sunset which was spectacular, shared with about a dozen others. No entry charge.

    Beautiful views of the island.
Walked up from Pelekas at sunset, although there are a gew parking places at the entrance. Beautiful view, lots of information and a lovely little spot for a spectacular view east and west. Popped into the hotel next door for a lovely meal and drinks too.

    Panoramic views!
A fairly short drive from Corfu City will get you here. Drive to the top and you’ll likely get parking. The throne is a rocky top to the mountain with a small viewing area. Very expansive views down to the city and across the island are worth the drive. If you have time, and can find a spot on the side of the road in the little village there, stop and have a coffee or a drink for a break before you head out further.

Drove over from Gouiva for a sunset note the drive up to the view point zigzags through some tight village passes and we were held in ques on the way up and down.

Parking easy on the side of the road around the restaurant.

The viewing area was crowded for a Thursday sunset mixed locals and tourists.

The higher view point didn't actually see the sunset as trees blocking the west view.

Nice evening to watch the sun go down great views across the island .

Note after the sunset a Le-mans style race back to the cars and down the mountain so be first or hang back ten mins.

Views are very good. Shame the tourists have put the padlocks all over the railings. Difficult to find parking as the access road is through a small village with just the one street going in and out. The bar/restaurant next door to the Kaiser's Throne looked like a good place to enjoy the views. The evening I was there was mid-August and a heatwave and the views became amazing as the sea and the sky merged as one and very worthwhile seeing this.

Lovely viewing point with a good restaurant at the nearby Hotel.
Not far away from the parking lot and easy to access even when you're not being able to walk well.
Recommended for the sunset 🥰

Worth taking the trip past the village of Pelekas and stopping off at what was Kaiser Wilhelm II's favourite lookout spot. Stonking views up and down the coastline from on top of the viewpoint. Nice village down below and handy restaurant and place to stay next-door.

Not for the feint hearted from a vertigo point of view this is a fantastic viewpoint from the top of Pelakas Village. A bit of a climb up the road if walking from the village but well worth it as the 360 degree panoramic outlook is magnificent

We held our beautiful wedding at Kaisers throne. The views are 360 degrees, you can see Albania and the Greek mainland. The area is shaded by olive trees and is particularly beautiful during the golden hour leading up to sunset.
It is such a beautiful spot, the photographs really don't do it justice.
We will have memories of this place forever and will always hold it close to our heart. Breathtaking scenery.

Beautiful old ruins partially standing. You can drive to the top but we walked left car down in Pelekas. Maybe took 20 minutes winding road. Recommend wearing closed in shoes loose gravel and rocks. There is a cafe/restaurant/hotel at top too.

Even without being Kaiser you have free access to a Throne. Just follow the sign from the church in Pelekas and you can go by car or motorbike almost to he top of the Pelekas hilltop. A short walk will take you to a breathtaking 360 degree of sea and land.
Warning: Not recommended if you suffer from fear of highs.

We walked up to the site through the narrow vehicle-less streets of the charming village of Pelekas (not well signposted so it turned into a trek of discovery). Lesser mobile people may find it difficult as it is uphill continuously but it is well worth it as you see a real bit of rural Corfu life. It is possible to drive right to the very top where there is a small car park. The views that were enjoyed by the Kaiser are stunning and you can see the entire island and across to Albania. There is a lovely restaurant at the viewing point and it would make for an ideal evening meal on a summer's evening. We walked back down to the village and enjoyed a wonderful huge ice cream and coffee at the lower café of the two (the other seemed a place for locals to enjoy the siesta). The bus service runs from Corfu town to Pelekas quite frequently.
Note that the actual visit to the viewing point requires less than one hour but you need more than two if you are going to walk up through the village.
