Nestled in the village of Gerani is an English Bar that welcomes all nationalities. Run by Paul and Gina who welcomes everyone with a smile and willing to have a chat with you. The Bar is open from 1430 hrs Tues - Friday and 1400 hrs Sat and Sun during the Summer Season and from 1700 hrs during the Winter. Fazakerleys have a quiz every Friday Night from 2100 hrs and a Bookclub the first Wednesday of every month. Also they show all premiership football games, international football games and various sports ie rugby, cricket, formula one motor racing subject to the satellite viewing programming

The bar is well stocked with a choice of drinks to suit all tastes. When we asked for cold beer that is exactly what we got. Personal preferences were catered for. The staff are welcoming and friendly and ready to share a joke. They have many activites during the week catering for tourists and locals.

This has got to be the friendliest bar in Crete, Gina and Paul are so helpful and really lovely people, well worth a visit if you are near Gerani.

Gina & Paul are a happy friendly English Couple running this Bar,we felt most welcome here and enjoyed a few drinks with the ex pat locals.

This is a small bar with owners that have hearts of gold as soon as you walk in you are treated as one of the family and as a bonus they show sky sports so you can watch the football too, if you go once I guarantee you will keep going back.

what a nice friendly man Paul is & very helpful about the area.We didnt see co owner Gina as she was unwell but the lady who was helping out was lovely.A very comfortable bar & will visit again if in Gerani.

Gina and Paul (the proud owners of Fazakerleys) have managed to make this bar a very welcomming place where you get the feeling that you are wanted there... Doesn't matter where you come from, they invite you in like good friends, take really good care of you and try to help you with any questions you may have. I have been there some times now and i have not been to crete for real if i haven't been at Fazakerleys for a cold beer, a hug and a chat.. I can highly recommend an evening at Fazakerleys for a quizz-night, a pool competition or any off the other events they have there or just sit down, enjoy the atmosphere, the chatting and a cold one...

Paul and Gina are the owners of this bar and they made our stay in Gerani feel more like a home from home. Excellent service and knowledge, also very helpful (made sure my wife was kept warm, even though it wasn't cold). They have a quiz and a weekly pool night for those of you who either like to test your brain, or show off your sporting skills. We met some really nice Brit ex pats who frequent the bar ( a big thanks to Sue for the car ride home after i had burned my foot sunbathing) they are also a friendly bunch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our nights at Fazakerleys Bar and we will certainly return there on our next visit.
They are located right next to a restaurant which I would recommend highly.

Fazakerleys Bar Is very friendly and welcoming Gina and Paul cant do enough for you! A must place to visit for a drink or two and great meeting place for friends!

Fazakerleys is a nice bar located in Gerani. It is run by a really nice couple, Paul & Gina. They sit down with the guests and have a nice chat. We were two young people who traveled alone on a trip to Crete, we spent three pleasant nights at Fazakerleys. Prices are much lower than they are on the bars of Platanias.
Besides Fazakerleys is a nice little local restaurant here serves the very good food at a reasonable price.
If you are planning a trip to Gerani I recommend strongly that you do not eat all the dinners at the hotel or in Platanias but set aside a night or two so you can try out the local places to eat / drink.
Several times a week there are various activities for guests of Fazakerleys. They arrange Quiz, football on the big screen and pool competitions.

Fazakerleys is a bar in Gerani which is managed by a very friendly English couple Gina and Paul who from the first time you walk in cannot do enough to help you and provide information about the local area.
It is well located in the village in a Gerani which is 5 minutes walk from the Caldera hotel. They have quiz nights, show sports, pool table and darts. - a good night out!
We will definitely visit again
