Some reviews say it's windy and the sea is dangerous. I didn't find that. It can be windy but if you go close to the Red Rock you are sheltered. Sea was fine but for swimmers as waves can be large, which I thought was...More
Actually this is the only beach near my place (Costa del Silencio) that I've visited twice during my 2 weeks holiday on Tenerife. First of all at the end of August and beginning of the September it's not so crowdy. I noticed that it's divided...More
Large, windy, sunny beach! One of the few great places in Tenerife (which overall disapponted me).
Dark sand and roary ocean (be careful). Sometimes the wind in very annoying: I visited twice.
Beware: there a re nudist (just in case)
Not so good as a bathing or sitting beach.

Basically you can lay your clothes off wherever you want over there. Most of all nude people stays in the middle or at the eastern point of the beach. If you get closer to Punta del Confital you'll find more families, so better to keep your swimming suit on there ;) And it is no too far from el Medano, you get there easily by walking.
