It was a real nice experience for my family. The animals were well treated, meaning their cages were large, they all looked healthy ... There is also a new playground for small kids (up to 8 years) which all seems to be safe. It is also a bit commercial with a diner and a shop, but there is no must to visit this. You can easily skip this. Overall we enjoyed this short visit.

This is a must see place !
Very child friendly with all the animals (goats, rabbits, pigs, geese, sheep, ...) and several playgrounds, but also hugely entertaining for adults and teens.
The goat stables are impeccable, the cheese making process impressive, the shop huge, the ice cream delicious.
Lots of (multilingual) information (don’t bother about the misspelling 😉) and very friendly staff.
Animal well being is very important here and you notice it everywhere.
We were allowed to bring our golden retriever on site, naturally on leash, which was extra fun (calm interaction between the animals) !

Goat farrm, guinea pas, hordes and pigs. A nice shop with icecream and goat cheese and products of the countryside. Small playground, Nice place to visit especially with children. Early spring when the young goats are born the kids can pick them up and carefully cuddle them.

De Mekkerste is a goat farm for milk/cheese production. The farm also has some other animals (horses, pigs, birds), and a small playground for the little ones.
The farm is open for the public to see both cheese production and the farm houses. You can of course buy cheese and other products in a nice shop, and there is a good café for coffee, pancakes, toast and homemade ice cream.
De Mekkerste also provides work for people with psychical disabilities.
Milking of the goats at 15:30 (July 2016).
We visited with children aged 4-12 years. A nice place to spend 2-3 hours on our biking holiday.

Great place to visit. Children's farm. Playground. Nice (cheese)shop. Look at cheese factory. Visit the goats. Milking around 3.30 pm. Delicious ice cream at nice farm looking coffee shop. All the places looked very clean and the staff is more than friendly! With our 2y old daughter we visited around 5 times in two weeks time. Free entrance by the way.

Only positives here: a great initiative, happy animals, a very childfriendely place, wonderful cheese. A few more roadsigns would make this farm even better to find.

De Mekkerstee farm was a nice experience for our son as he could get close to and see many different animals. Goats, pigs, many different birds and cows inside and outside. There was also a small playground. The only thing that maybe could be improved a bit was some more presence of people to explain and talk about the different animals. Nice place!
