About
Discover local tastes, traditional recipes and more activities concerning the food culture!! The Cretan Gastronomy organise educational and evidence-based programs for children and adults. You can follow activities, like local products tasting , culinary demonstrations, cooking shows and lessons, olive oil seminars, wine tasting. Special during the winter, educational programs for schools and students. Join us and learn about the Cretan diet and its benefits. We have Info point about the Cretan Diet and the culinary culture & tourist information. We organise food- routes and visits in Crete, tailor program and transfer available. Participate in olive oil harvest and grape harvest, join a chesse maker, and more local festivities. Also, visit our library with free access to audiovisual material and wi-fi.

Hidden away in half-way up the town of Argiroupoli ( at the bottom of the town are the famous springs) is an excellent center that promotes local Cretan food products. The woman in charge was very informative and friendly, and you can book cooking classes in advance.

My two children age 6 and 9, my husband and I had a wonderful time cooking at the Cretan Gastronomy Centre. It wasn’t difficult to find and it is very well post it. Aspassia, our teacher, taught us how to cook delicious Cretan dishes and our children had lots of fun cooking. I highly recommend doing this with your children, the classes are not expensive and chef Aspassia really made us feel so welcome. It was an amazing experience.
