This shop is full of wonderful pieces, all of which are beautiful hand crafter by Galateas, she is such a lovely lady. Unfortunatly we never stopped back to buy some pieces due to a range of reasons but next time we visit we will definantly buy some treasures. A real must for any pottery lover.....

Any trip to Santorini must include a trip to Galatea's Pottery, which for a 'one girl band' is really quite amazing. We came here for the first time last year after having visited Galatea's website, & read the reviews on Trip Advisor. Each piece, is produced by Galatea herself, and is therefore, unique - no 'massed produced' stuff. On our... More

Some designs remain, others fade away. On most vivist I see a piece that I hadn't noticed before. I am thankful she now sells some of her drawings and paintings.

I was visiting Akrotiri a few years ago , when I noticed the small shop. The interesting shapes and colors of the potery made me buy something. Since then, whenever I visit the island I try to go and find something from Galatea's collection. There is always something new.

Our favorite Santorini gifts came from Galatea Pottery. Browse the shop, admire the plants and flowers and chat with the artist. Her work is beautifully unique and reasonably priced. Stop on your way back from the Lighthouse. We found it simply by accident so check the web for directions.

Loved the pottery here because they are unique keepsakes and only a free pieces get made as compared to the hundreds of stores selling the same designs all over Santorini. We bought a jug and ordered a fruit bowl as well. Highly recommended.

In Megalohori, on the road to Akrotiri, sits Galatea's pottery studio. Her handmade pottery is unique, beautiful, and makes me smile every time I use it. The colorful Santorini plates and bowls she made for me are constant reminders of good memories and warm friendships made on this island. Take the time to find her and treat yourself to a... More

I have met Galatea during one of my visits last year and was surprised about the most attractive things and lovely designs she is creating at her place. If you like wonderful colours and unique plates, bowles etc. you have to go there! (Galatea also creates nice articles, where certain amount of the price goes to SAWA, the local animal... More

Galatea is inspired by the landscape and nature of Santorini to produce some truly beautiful pottery - a far cry from the touristy "traditional" pottery found elsewhere on the island. She also makes-to-order if you require something more specific. One of the most cherished pieces in our home is a bowl that was specially-made for our wedding, featuring one of... More

We chanced upon this Pottery while driving around the Island, travelling from Akrotiri towards Fira. There were some wonderful pieces displayed outside, and so we stopped went into the shop for a look. There we met Galatea, the lady who makes the pieces. She is Greek, but has spent many years in Canada, so language was not a problem. She... More
