The place is dangerous. So many people! It is almost impossible to feel comfortable at on the slopes. Crowds are everywhere, on the slopes, at the bar, at the restaurant... I think the owners of the place do not care how many people skiing on the slopes. Nobody cares that 1 of 4 seats on the way up is empty, by the way it is 25%... I am highly dissapointed about it. Adding some pictures of a typical Klinovec queue...

Had beginner ski lessons for four hours. Wonderful instructor. Very cheap with amazing gear and not too over crowded.
Highly recommended.

Such centers like the most, because you will find here not only perfectly groomed slopes but also full Infrastructures, jake; quick lifts, bars, restaurants and hotels in different class. I would recommend!

I spent a few days skiing here and ended up with an extremely bad experience. Apart from the overcrowded slopes, with only two of them open, I was flabbergasted by the nervousness and aggresivity of the staff. One of them verbally and physically aggressed my 11 yr old son after he was hit in his head by the cable lift. I wrote to the management demanding an apology for this scandalous behaviour, as a minimum. I was very disappointed by their totally inadequate reply. Consider skiing somewhere else..

We went in early Feb and a number of things went wrong for us on our trip. First, the rental shop at the base of the main ski area ran out of snowboards - they have only a few board. We drove 45 minutes and got a board and came back, and the main lift (Prima Express) had really long queues (wait time of 15-20 minutes). The next day, we purchased 1.5 day passes but the first day the main lift shut within 2 hours due to high winds (only the chair lifts were closed - the others were working). The next day it was shut all day and there were zero staff around to ask anything! The helpline staff were unhelpful - just told us to write an email to them to ask for a refund. We did that and were denied rudely. They didn't even agree to refund us the deposit for the passes, even though there had been no staff around for us to back the passes to!

As for the facilities themselves - most of the slopes are narrow and have several flat/ uphill sections. Suitable for skiiers, not snowboarders.

In this new growing Skiarea you have about 11 different tracks and 11 lifts.

You have 3 blue routes and 7 red and 1 black track. Which makes it the ideal area for a day or two day trip.

It's possible to rent equipment at place for a cheap price. Food is quite cheap and tastes very well.

You have artifical snow so it's snow safe also in warm winters.

Day passes include entrance to the nearby Skiarea Fichtelberg where you have some more tracks. There is a bus available for tranfer for only a few cents.

Parking in Klinovec Skiarea is free.

Good accessible spot 1,5 hour from Prague. It is placed on the border to German republic and every day it is full of german skiers. Best time to get good skiing experience is to come at 8:30 am. The lifts starts at 9:00 am. Until 10:00 am you do not wait too long at the cable way. After that you should expect 15- 20 minutes of waiting time each ride. So I almost leave between 11-12:00 am. The slopes are wide open (on Czech conditions), well prepared and not so long even for small children. For the keycard you have to pay depozsit of 50,- CZK, do not forget to return the keycard before You leave. Children up to 6 years old rides for free.

For those who life within 4 hours drive this area is a good skiing area that have invested in getting the slopes ready and added three new gondles which really helps.

Staff at different restaurant could do with some customer service training

The skiing is worth the money

We were really lucky with the weather. First time skiing for the kids (5 and 7). They enjoyed 1.5 hours of lessons in the morning. Great blue runs for beginner and more taxing reds and blacks for the more experienced. Fast lifts, up little infrastructure for food and drink, choices poor and poor quality. But cheap.

Have to admit that lifts could go faster as many people are visiting by now. Easily to wait for 15 to 20 minutes before going up again. Prices are still OK, slopes maintained, conditions relative to weather good. Several chances for food and stops, not the biggest skiing areal, but good for a weekend.
