Full-Day Santorini Island Trip from Crete

37 reviews
Swap an independent ferry trip to Santorini from Crete for a full-day tour that includes a cruise and sightseeing once you’re there. Avoid the hassle of arranging your own cabs or buses on the Cycladic island; and simply sit back and admire its whitewashed clifftop towns as you sail the caldera. Then, enjoy a coach tour with time to stroll in the capital, Thira; Oia, and along the island’s clifftops.

I love Chrissy Akti. Clean little beach, close to Chania. Here you Will find 3 small tavernas also. Ippocampus is open alll year around and is so good, especcially wintertime. It is like second home. Summertime It’s very close to Anais restaurang,It’s a really good one. If you want to rent a car you have Rolling cars 100 m from beach. Chrissi Akti is my Favourite.....

The far western end is where we came on several days. Good bathing when the sea is calm, sandy under foot and shallow for a long way out, good for the chidren and good sand for castle building, we watched one guy make a brilliant sculpture of a turtle to entertain his kids. When the wind blows and the waves get up it's surfer's paradise. There are boards for hire and you can have lessons. Sun beds and shades at 6 Euros a set was a good price for the area. A decent beach bar at the rear will provide your drink and snack needs but the filthy and disgusting squat toilets should only be contemplated in an emergency. The sand is fine and golden but depressingly tainted with plastic polution, how did it get its Blue flag one wonders?. There is a lifeguard station, we watched them go into action three times one day to rescue unwary swimmers in the rough sea. Catch the number 21 Bus from Chania for the short ride out to this beach, sevice every 20 minutes.

This beach is great, not too crowded and suitable for all ages. Iff too much wind/waves I will recommend to go as far west (to the left when facing the water) as possible, as the water is calm here. Several cafés/beach bars with drinks, simple meals, ice cream etc. The toilets didn't work, and I am not sure when/if they are cleaned...

Still my favourite beach in Agii Apostoli. Convenient beach cafe. Worth a bus ride if you don't fancy walking from further up the beach.

Not as much tree shade as agioi apostoli next door so either go after 3 when the sun is less intense but the sea is still warm or hire sunbeds. View is of chania but not too unpleasant as they are not uniform high rises. West side by rocks brilliant for snorkelling. Lots of locals there too which was lovely. Nice atmosphere
