About
Bigfoot Adventures NSW is an amazing experience for all ages. A huge 4WD open sided tractor-bus carries tourists on a one-hour tour up to 1000ft elevation on the historic property of Coolangatta Estate. The tour highlight is definitely an adventurous climb up Mt Coolangatta from where some of the best views of the South Coast can be enjoyed. A ride on Bigfoot is a great way to see the convict built village dating back to 1822. Learn about the award winning wines produced by the Estate, as you drive through the vineyards.

Mr Bruce from Bigfoot adventure took us on a German built M31 monster truck custom built for this purpose to the top of a steep mountain at a 35 degree angel with a lot of effort while explaining the entire history of the estate. Ticket price for adults was AUD25 and for kids under 14 it’s AUD15. They have an on-site wine tasting facility which you have to prebook. The estate comprise of cottages , estate office, water dam built by convicts in the 19th century. A great history lesson on how the dairy farms were developed, how the name crows nest came to place and how the estate was passed down from generation to generation happened. A big kudos to Bigfoot adventure.

Great experience and a great tour of historical Coolangatta... Bigfoot is a must see and do.
Christine was so accomodating as we had a rain day and she happily offered to either move out our booking and or offer a full refund, no questions asked!
Bruno’s (our driver for the day) knowledge of Coolangatta and its history was second to none. Our safety was the utmost priority and he ensured that, as at not one point throughout the trip did we ever feel unsafe
Highly recommended and definitely be back *****

Thanks so much for your great review, I’m pleased we were able to take you on the Bigfoot the following day after the wet weather when you had originally booked & so glad you enjoyed the ride. For safety reasons Bigfoot cannot operate if the track conditions have been affected by wet weather but will always offer alternatives to suit our guests.

Your driver, Bruno, is a guru tour guide with 40 years of experience at Coolangatta. His knowledge of both the history and geography of the property is outstanding, made better by his good story-telling and driving skills (at the same time, no less). We were really pleasantly surprised at how interesting it was, and the drive up the mountain in the monster truck, at an impressive 30-40 degree angle in places, is terrific fun for the kids. The views of the region are impressive. Best to go on a clear day, and if it's a bit cold, just wear your warm clothes and you'll be fine. A great all-round experience for kids and adults alike.

The entire tour is excellent. Bruno who was our driver explains the history in great detail and articulates the story so well. It's pretty incredible such a large vehicle can go up the mountain like it does.

We loved the huge 4 WD, which took us through the village built by convicts, through vineyards and up to the summit of Mount Coolangatta. Ian our driver was not only a very skilled driver, he also gave very interesting information in a bright and fun way. The view from the top is stunning!
I highly recommend this tour.

I took my son, daughter in law and grandson on the Big Foot tour and we had a great time. Grandson loved the excitement of the bumpy ride and the adults really appreciated the beautiful views and information provided about the history of the Coolangatta area and village itself. Heavy rainfall in previous days prevented us going right to the top of the mountain but we appreciated this attention to safety.

Just finished our Premium mid week tour of the estate and a drive up the mountain.
All I can say is excellent and exhilarating.
Our guide and host was Bruno. He was full of history answering all our questions before we even asked them.
He was polite and very personable.
I would highly recommend a visit here, the views going up and atop the mountain were amazing.
Plenty of photo opportunities.

We were a group of 8 unable to make the weekend booking on Bigfoot. The staff were so lovely and organised for us to go on the Monday. Bruno, our driver, was so informative about the history of Coolangatta Estate, from the original owners down to the current owner. We loved his commentary. We had a great time, thankyou

Thanks to Bruno and everyone involved, had a great (sometimes frightening) time getting a history lesson while climbing Mount Coolangatta, didn't know it was a volcano 😮 snuffed by a tsunami 😳 also got to see the local echidna, hare and a wombat burrow...oh and the biggest fattest red belly black snake ever. Thoroughly enjoyable. 10/10
