I highly recommend experiencing Josephine's Bathtub while you're in Martinique - it was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip. We didn't have anything reserved in advance, but just showed up to the dock in the morning and were able to get on an afternoon "demi-journee" boat ride excursion with Denis. The half-day was the perfect amount of time -- we stopped to explore a couple islands and then of course the amazing "bathtub." It was the perfect day -- they even give you accras and planter's punch along the way!

A great day in paradise !

We were taken to Les Fond blanc to have a couple drink and some nice chicken.
Then we had a visit with a détails presentation about the different isles.
We had a stop at the isles where the iguanas live freely and reproduce themselves.
Then we spent the rest of the day at l'isle Madam.
We had lucn and then we enjoyed the sea forthe rest of the day.

It is a wonderful activity enjoyed by tourists and locals .

We went for excursion at this place. First we had a stop at an illet with a lot of iguanas and then we had snorkeling to these perfect and clean waters. If you plan to make your trip here choose a day with a lot of sun!

We stopped here on a boatride with Captain Patricia (which was awesome, by the way). There was another shallow flat area of the sea that we stopped at first that I liked better, but Josephine's Bathtub was really lovely too. It's definitely worth booking a boat ride, especially one with drinks!

So nice to swim in this spot in ocean that has little water far away from beach.

Needs a boat to get there f ex. #mattecxursionnautique. If you enjoy calm boat trip to nature.

Josephine baths represent a shallow body of turquoise water close to small islets near mainland Martinique. I guess our expectations were too high. Just another tourist attraction. The sea bottom was rocky, there was no sea life (like star fish or any kind of fish there). There are many other boats and people too coming and going non-stop. We just took a quick dip and that’s it.

This really unique. People can go on the ocean and they don't have to swim. Once at the special place named 'La Baignoire de Josephine", The floor is stable and anyone can walk anywhere.

People like to walk on that, because it is different and attractive!

A must see!

The baignoire itself is merely a touristic attraction. But the little islands nearby are gems. Beach so beautiful and pristine. Not very crowded... Like in a movie, but for real!!!

Absolutely not the same than 15 years ago... Now you have to jump on other people to swim... Forget it
